Crocheting a Bag

My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was about 9 years old. She also taught me how to embroider. She knew how to crochet too, but for some reason she never taught me how to do that.

Last year I got bored with knitting, and wanted to try crocheting. I got some books on it, and basically taught myself. My first project was a "string bag." I just made it for practice, but it actually came out pretty good.



So I decided I might make a few for people for Christmas. I found the pattern for it again. And tried to start one over the weekend. A year later, I have totally forgotten how I made this bag, that I made a year ago, on my first attempt to crochet.

Well it took me 3 days to figure out, but I think I finally have and I'm on my way to making another bag. I think these will make great Christmas presents for my in laws!
