Some people will require assistants face-to-face, but in today’s digital age, many employers find assistants can do work from anywhere. You will need to be proficient in a wide range of tasks, including doing expense reports, scheduling meetings and performing basic research. You can either be an employee of an organization or become a freelance assistant where you work for a few different people.

If you have sufficient expertise in a given field, such as history or English, then you should consider becoming a tutor. You can speak with your client via Skype or FaceTime. Unlike teaching positions, you do not need any certification to work as a tutor. You can also set your own rates, so you make as much money as you are comfortable with.

You will need to do more than upload photos to Instagram in this line of work, but it can be incredibly rewarding. You will work for various companies and determine if the organization is effectively utilizing social media in its ad campaigns. This is entry-level work, and you can do it from your laptop or smartphone.

Many companies have a need for written content. You can do this work from home, and many times, you can set your own hours. You can write on a variety of subjects. In fact, if you are a stay at home mom, then you can write about your experiences with that. There are likely many companies that can benefit from your expertise.
