Xperience Days Review

Here's the promised continuation from Yesterday's Post:

Sometimes when you have a blog, it let's you do some really cool things. Well last Saturday was one of those times. Check out these videos:

(unfortunately these are a sideways view of it)

That's my husband as a passenger in that car. A few months ago, I was asked if I wanted to do a review. It is for a company called Xperience Days.

Through this website you can book all kinds of different experiences. You can search the website for thousands of different experiences. Such as Food Tours, Flying Lessons, Sailing Trips and Wine Tasting. You can search by your metro area. I looked up what may be available in the Richmond area. And one thing that caught my eye was a stock car ride.

I asked my husband if he would like to do that, and he was like heck ya! We booked our experience on the website. And everything after that was easy. We got a few conformation emails. We got some paperwork in the mail, along with a card, (like a credit card) that was used when we got there as our payment for this.

They also said to call a week before our scheduled day, just to confirm it again. Which my husband did. The races are kinda like first come first serve. They run from 9 am to 4 pm. So we weren't sure how crowded it would be so we got there pretty early. My husband was like the second one to go.

Here's some more pictures of my husband and the cars:

Getting the suit on:

Waiting for his turn:

the cars:

He really enjoyed this experience! He went around the track 3 times at about 150ish miles an hr. Sometimes they go at 165 mph, but the driver said the track was a little wet in the morning, so he didn't want to go that fast yet. But my husband loved, loved, loved it! And I can't say enough about how smoothly every thing went. It really is run very nicely at the track. And everyone was so nice and friendly too.

The picture I showed yesterday, was one he paid extra for - they took that of him once he was in the car. You can also purchase a video, that shows the view of you inside the car the whole time your racing. We didn't end up getting that though.

I would really recommend the website Xperience Days to you guys. You can find all kinds of fun experiences for you or loved ones. The prices are different ranges, depending on what you do. But this one my husband picked I feel is a really reasonable price. This would make a great gift for someone you know too!

Check it out! You're sure to find something you would want to experience!

That's my husband right before he went around the track at about 150 miles an hr! Stay tuned for more of an explanation on his fun experience. To be continued.....

Qi Orthopedic Pillow Review - #QVCgifts

I am now reviewing the Qi Orthopedic Pillow. This is not your average pillow. It is a pillow that provides scientifically tested back support for people of all shapes and sizes.

My thoughts on the product.

When the Qi Pillow showed up I asked my husband to help me with it. Basically you just unzip the lining and then blow up the pillow. You take a few breaths into the valve to blow it up.

It doesn't take much to blow it up. You don't have to inflate it too much, you want just enough to provide the dynamic and individualized support your back needs.

Once it was blown up my husband immediately put it behind his back. He had just gotten home from work and he has to stand up a lot all day. And even though it's nice to sit down at home, guess what my couch is kinda on the squishy side so you need support behind you when you sit on it.

The Qi Pillow is also stylish enough to fit in as a regular throw pillow. It looks great on your couch:

I have also been using the Qi Pillow on my computer chair. I admittedly spend way to much time at the computer. And sometimes my back can hurt. But using this pillow has really helped.

The Qi Pillow is similar to the Sleep number bed. In that it uses an air controlled orthopedic core to provide back support. And unlike regular pillows it will not collapse under your body weight and will help you to maintian the correct posture.

I know after hours of blogging and working at the computer I could use some back support. And using this pillow all day has really helped my back feel a lot better!

You can also Purchase a Qi Pillow on Amazon or on QVC  - #QVCgifts

It is designed with accuracy, convenience and ease of use in mind. It also turns off automatically to conserve battery life, and runs on 1 Lithium 2032 battery (included) for the best in performance. Your Satisfaction is 100% Guaranteed.

My thoughts on product:

Guys, you're not going to believe this, but up until now I have never (I'm pretty sure in my whole life) owned a bathroom scale.

But when I was able to have the opportunity to receive this scale - I thought it was time to have a scale. Especially since my husband and I have been losing some weight lately.

Just as the description says, this scale basically works right out of the box. When it came in the mail, my husband opened it, put it on a flat surface, stepped on it and it worked. Nothing else to it!

I also really love the slim look to this scale. It is very slender and not bulky like other scales I've seen. Look at this side view of the scale:

It fits right into the corner of my bathroom, and doesn't take up a lot of space. So if you are looking into getting a new bathroom scale I would recommend the Ozeri Precision Digital Bath Scale. If you would like to purchase one you can do so at

#ThrowbackThursday - Halloween

Here's a picture from Halloween 1971:

Growing up my Mom made all our Halloween costumes. That's my oldest sister as a Gypsy, the middle sister as a Black Cat, and me at I guess 3 1/2 yrs old as Raggedy Ann.

We all wore these costumes interchangeable over the years, I know I was at one point a gypsy, a cat. And one year I remember my mother made us all clown costumes and we all went as clowns.

There was also a Raggedy Andy costume and someone had to go as a boy! - lol

Happy Halloween #Throwback Thursday :)

Green Giant Raise a Giant - $25 Gift Card Giveaway

Hi all. I have some important info I want to share with you. It is about Green Giant's anti-bullying campaign.

In light of everything that is going on in schools today and the bullying problems this is very good info for kids and parents to have. Please read on:

Green Giant®  knows it takes a lot more to raise a healthy child then just getting them to eat their vegetables. Kids these days live in a world that is bigger and scarier than the world we grew up in, and they need help and encouragement to navigate that world with confidence and pride.
Unfortunately one of the hardest things kids have to deal with is bullying. When a child is bullied by a peer it can turn his or her life into a daily gauntlet of fear and anxiety.

That’s why Green Giant® is partnering with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center and We Day Minnesota to help parents Raise A Giant and put a stop to bullying in their community.

What Does it Mean To Be A Giant?
Being a giant isn’t about being the biggest or the best. Being a giant means standing up for others. It means lending a hand to those who are in trouble and speaking up for those who sometimes find it hard to speak up for themselves.
Studies show that an effective way to stop bullying is for kids to simply speak up and say, “That’s not okay” when they see bullying happening.
But asking kids to have the courage to stand up to bullying is a tall order and that’s why they need our help.
How Do You Raise A Giant?
We’re asking parents to write a letter to their kids telling them how special they are and encouraging them to be part of the bullying prevention solution by being a giant.
To get started parents can visit our community at and read the letters others have written.
Help Us Spread The Word:
1. Write a letter to your kids about standing up to bullying and post it on your blog and at See the included tip sheet for help getting started.
2. Encourage your community to write their own letters and post them at
3. Share the Raise a Giant Video, Infographic, and Tips For Talking To Your Kids About Bullying on your blog, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
4. Change your Facebook profile picture to the Raise A Giant icon to show your support.
With your encouragement we can help all of our kids create a safer, happier world.
Win it: One blog reader will receive a $25 Gift Card. US residents only.

Cheese Thinables Review

Hey, how are you? Are you like me and love to snack? But feel guilty about the calories? Well I have a good review for you then.

I recently received a few samples of Cheese Thinables. Please review the following product info:

  • Tangy Cheese cracker taste
  • 11g fiber per package (44% of your Daily Value!)
  • Each package has about 30 crackers
  • Just 60 calories per oz - compare to 140 in Cheeze-Its®

Also here is chart comparing them to other popular cheese snacks:

Cheese Thinables®
Cheese Nips®
Special K
Cracker Chips
Serving Size1 oz1 oz1 oz
Fiber11gLess than 1g3g

My thoughts on product:

I got a box of I think 4-5 bags of the Cheese Thinables in it. I think my son ate most of them. He loves that kind of snack. I asked him if he liked them and he said they were pretty good. I tried one of the bags of them myself. I will admit that they have a slightly different flavor then some of the other brands of cheese snacks.

They were still pretty good though. And knowing that they are less calories is nice. Also they have a lot of fiber in them so that is cool too!

So if you are looking for a cheese snack with less calories and more fiber then I would really recommend these to you.

Sump Pumps - drainage solution

Hi all. I don't know about you but we have had a lot of rain lately. I think it's been almost a week that it's been raining. Well, with the rain sometimes you can get flooding.

My Mom's house used to have a problem with this. She had an addition put on and then after that she would get flooding in her basement. The first time it happened was really bad. It happened a few more times, until she decided it was necessary to have a sump pump installed.

Since she got one put in, it's worked great. And she hasn't had any problems. I have been doing some research on sump pumps for myself. And I have learned a lot of interesting things that I didn't really know about until now.

In particular, I have been looking on a website called Andy's Sprinklers. They are located in Dallas, TX, and they really can be helpful when it comes to sump pumps. I was just reading that if you have a flat yard or one that slopes downward, then it could lead to flooding. Say for instance that your yard gets flooded, then if your house's foundation is below water level, then the water is most likely going to flood your basement.

Something else I just found out that could maybe lead to flooding and damage - is possibly your sprinklers. Sprinklers could cause a build up of water - and you could have some flooding from that. I never thought of that. Did you guys know that?

But there is a solution to these problems and that is a sump pump. There are drainage experts and they will help you to install one. Another thing that I found out, that I wasn't aware of before, is that sump pumps are usually hard wired into your electric system. Then they can pump water away from your house. Normally it can pump the water into a dry well or a municipal drain.

I was never really sure how sump pumps worked until recently. Well now I know. Sump pumps contain a basin. This will collect water around the foundation or in basement of a home. Using either electricity or pressurized water it will send the water away from your house to the drain like I mentioned above.

There still is a lot more to figure out about this topic. So if you are like me you will want to call a professional to find out more about this. They will be able to help you figure out your best options! Now is a great time to think about getting one installed!

Beautiful - Live Skin Care System Review & Giveaway {3 Winners!}

I have been sent a product to review. It's from the same company that makes OraMD -  that if you recall I had reviewed before.

Well this product is called Beautiful and it comes in an AM and PM Revitalizer.  And it can also be personalized with your name on the bottle.

Here's me with and my bottles with my name (don't know if you can see it but my name is on it)

Here's a better picture :

Here's some info. about the product:

Please be advised that within the first 30 days of using Beautiful, you may experience a brief blemish breakout. This typically lasts from 1-2 days, possibly up to a week. The botanical oils in Beautiful gently and naturally remove toxins and build up that have accumulated over time from the use of chemical-laden skincare products and cosmetics. These botanical ingredients also help remove the cause behind excessive oil production. If a breakout does occur, this is actually a really good sign, as your skin will be ridding itself of toxins that have built up over time. It’s important not to get discouraged during this brief detoxifying period, because once it ends, your skin will emerge with a more beautiful, young looking, radiant appearance. Results vary for each person. You may wash your face with soap before applying Beautiful; we also recommend that after 30 days you try washing your face with just warm water to see if it removes the dirt without soap.

Here's a short video I made to show you how easy it is to apply the revitalizer:

I have been using these for about a week and a half. I have not had any side effects from it at all. The Beautiful skin care blends on my face very easily and quickly. I also love the smell of the AM and PM Revitalizers they both have sort of a citrus fragrance to them. I think that they have been leaving my face very fresh and smooth!

I also like that the it is 100%  pure all in one skin care. And the AM ingredients are: 100% Pure Botanical oils of almond, orange, lemon, avocado, and olive.

The PM ingredients are: 100% Pure Botanical oils of almond, orange, lemon, evening primrose and apricot.

WW - Awesome Sunset

I've got to sit through 2 1/2 hrs of dance classes a week, for my daughter. I mostly sit out in my car and read, listen to music & or play on my tablet.

Last week, while I was doing so, a beautiful sunset came upon me.

The sky was actually even pinker then showing in this pics. But I think these are still really cool & cool since I just took them with my tablet.

Favorite Quotes about Family

There are so many great quotes out there. I was actually just looking at some the other day. The ones I came across were about sensitivity.

Like this one I found from Donatella Versace:

In fashion, women have more sensitivity, more sense of the body, so they know how things fit and feel. Yet there are not many women who study fashion. It's ridiculous.

I also was just looking up some inspirational quotes and sayings about family at There are some really good ones about family. I just spotted one from Michael J. Fox, who I absolutely love. His quote about family:

“Family is not an important thing, it’s everything.”

Another awesome one I just found too:

“The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only – and that is to support the ultimate career. ”– C.S. Lewis
Are there any quotes about family that you really like?

Camera Critters - Turtle

Since living in Virginia for the past couple of years I've noticed a lot of different wildlife, then we had in New England.

One being turtles/tortoises. I see turtles all the time around here, just trying to cross the street or something. I just saw a couple this week(little ones)

Well especially in the spring we see some really big turtles. Like this guy who came in our yard. "She" I guess, because she ended up laying some eggs in our yard.

(I know there are turtles everywhere I just Personally never had them coming into my yard and laying eggs)

Doesn't look as big in these pictures as it really was in person!

Thanks for stopping by. Visit here to see more:

Plan A Trip to Aruba

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hi guys. With winter approaching, don't you start thinking about planning a vacation? Obviously you/me want to go someplace warm. Or maybe it's just me.

But I have always wanted to do this! Just go for a week or more - get away from it all. Well, the place I'm thinking about is Aruba.

My sister went there a few years ago, and really loved it. I really want to go there after talking to her about it. She told me about all the activities that you can do there. Like I would love to go on a fishing excursion there. I bet there is some awesome fishing in Aruba!

Also I always wanted to try snorkeling, my sister did that. She said it was awesome. There are shallow reef formations and also reef and wreck diving awaiting you too. These are just a few things that I want to do in Aruba. There are a lot more activities to do! Check out Aruba travel for more ideas. I am going to!

Of course one of the other things Aruba is known for is the beaches.

I was just reading that there are two different areas of beaches. One is a 7 mile strip, which is the resort area. This were the water is calm and perfect for swimming. Sunbathers will love it too. If you would like a little more secluded area then you could visit the windward coast, which is more underdeveloped. Swimming there is not recommended but you can view the beautiful coastline and natural breathtaking views!

Here is a cool video for you to watch too:

Please visit for yourself for more info. And like the Aruba Facebook page. Tell me in the comments what you would like to do in Aruba and why you would want to visit!

KIND Snacks Charity Initiative Review

Hi all. I've got another great review & information for you. It is from the Co. - KIND Snacks.

First of all I received a sampling of some of the new flavors from KIND Snacks. The flavors included Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio, Madagascar Vanilla Almond, & Almond & Apricot in Yogurt.

I think the package arrived on a Friday. And I showed everyone the variety of bars. No one seemed interested at first. I tried one, and put the rest in the kitchen. I was thinking maybe my husband could share some at work on Monday. Well that didn't happen because by the end of the weekend all the KIND bars were gone. (I don't think my husband even got one - oops) The kids ended up really liking them!

Especially the favorite I think was the Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio one. My daughter wants some more! I've got to find some in the store for her now!

I also want to tell you about the KIND initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Please read following info from Co. below:

Tuesday, October 8, 2013 Prepaid Visa Debit Card Review

I was recently given an opportunity from  I was first asked to pick my design. Which card I would like to pick. There are thousands of different cards to choose from.

I was trying to think of something that could reflect my personality. Or something that I really love. Well I don't know if you guys know this or not, but I really love baseball. I'm the Red Sox's #1 fan (ha-ha). Anyway, I checked to see what cards they had for baseball, and I got "The Baseball card."

This debit card is just like your bank card, but way cuter! You can use it everywhere Visa is accepted.

It is also very easy to sign up for your own card. It is free to order, activate and load. I went to the website and was signed up for my Baseball card in under 5 min!

This card is not a gift card, you can not give it or receive it as a gift. It is better then a gift card though because you don't just use it once and toss it, you can use it over and over again.  There are a lot of other really cool features too. I will tell you about some more of them now.

Besides, what I mentioned above, it is also has free direct deposit, and free card-to-card transfers anytime. There are also no credit checks, and no overdraft fees. You can access your money with your own pin # at over 22,000 ATMS.

I used my Prepaid Visa card the other day at the store. My daughter was able to go to the State Fair with her friend. And they were selling advanced tickets at the supermarket.  I was able to use the card, just like a regular debit card, because I had set up a pin #  when I activated my card on the phone. I even was able to tell the cashier I wanted to split the payment between this card and another one. I did all this without any problems!

One note - it is free for 30 days, but there is a 5.95 monthly fee after that. This will be waived if you have a monthly direct deposit of 800 or more.

Please visit the website listed above for more information, & to sign up for your own prepaid visa card from!

Disclosure: I received the prepaid card pre-loaded from sponsor, so I could facilitate this review. All opinions remain my own.

Halloween T-shirt Review

Recently I was able to get a really cool t-shirt. It is called a Zombie Tux.

I asked my hubby if he would like to get this t-shirt. It is a black - men's t-shirt with the design in the picture above. He said sure (cause he's not about to pass up a free t-shirt)

So it came in the mail about a week ago, I think. And a few days later he wore it to work. My daughter couldn't believe he actually wore it. Because it's kinda not his usual style - lol.

But when he came home from work. He said everyone liked his shirt. One guy was kinda looking at it like huh? He told him it was a zombie tux. Then they guy was kinda digging it. And another guy said he really loved it and it was a really cool shirt.

Here's some pics I took of him in the shirt:

(c) stay at home mom

No lie, right after I took these pics of him, he went to the store. And a total stranger cam up to him and told him, "Cool shirt, man!"

So he really got a lot of compliments on this shirt. This is a nice shirt for Halloween or anytime really! If you would like to purchase this shirt visit the website They also have a lot of other awesome Halloween shirts too!
