A Great Resource - ATETV!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ATETV.org. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was just visiting and reviewing a great website. It is called: ATETV  . Which stands for Advanced Technological Education Television.

I was just watching some highly  informative videos on the website. There are some really terrific educational videos on this website. ATETV is a very valuable tool for educators, teachers an students to see job opportunities.

These job opportunities are ones that exist in emerging technology fields. Showcasing the best in Advanced Technological Education from community colleges and across the country, ATETV features a new episode every Monday and networking capabilities to connect ATE students and educators with prospective employers in technical fields.

ATETV is a free web based video series that  highlights careers in Math, Science, Engineering and Technology. What's really interesting too, is that these videos were all produced from a grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Research is showing that careers in these fields is increasing and will be even greater in the future. So  the NSF is funding this project to get kids more interested in these fields.

So this is really a great resource for anyone who wants to go into one of these fields. ATETV showcases a large number of emerging high-tech fields. Such as underwater robotics or laser technology, just to name a few.

Check out this site for all these free videos! You could find out about the career of your choice and all the training options available!

Brilliant Lenses Cleaner Review & Giveaway

I was recently sent Brilliant Lenses to review and offer in a giveaway.

Product Information:
Brilliant Lenses Cleaner and optical microfiber cloth. A premium eyeglass cleaner with SR-8 that adds a protective barrier to lenses to resist scratches and soiling from water, sweat, dust and dirt. For ALL types of lenses.

My Take on the Product:

When I was asked to review this product I was really excited to receive it, especially for my husband who wears eyeglasses.

When he got home, I had him try it out on his glasses. We found this product really easy to use, you just take the cleaner and squirt a little on your glasses. Then wipe clean with the provided micro-fiber cloth. His glasses were really clean after using this! And it's nice to know that it has a scratch resistant barrier.

He could really use that, with all the scratches he used to get on his glasses. I even tried it on my sunglasses and it worked really well. It also says it works on phones, which I might try out later!

Win it:  One lucky reader will win a Brilliant Lenses Cleaner kit.

Alhoa Friday & Friday Blog Hops

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My Question: Have you or anyone in your family had to travel for their job?

My Answer: The company my husband works for owns another company in California. He had to go out there again for the third time to train some people. That's all the way across the country for us. I'm a wimp and really miss him, luckily he'll be home around 1 am! (technically Saturday.)

Check These Out: Glidden Paint Testers!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine.

I just found out something really cool, I want to share with you. It is a product by Glidden. It is called Glidden Paint Testers!

These are really cool and you should definitely check these out. What it is - is a cute little bottle of Glidden paint with a brush attached right to the lid. The testers come pre-tinted and come in 282 different colors! And what's great about these is you can test the actual paint at home first with this little sample, before you buy like a whole can of it! That way you can make sure it is the color you really want first without committing to a huge can first.

Another thing that the Glidden testers are great for is touch ups. You might know this, especially if you have kids, that the walls, etc. can get messy. If there are scrapes or stains, you could easily just do a touch up with the testers. No need to buy a whole gallon of paint. And say your little angel decides to draw on the wall with permanent marker - instead of tirelessly scrubbing it off, you could quickly go over it with one of your testers.

You can also Find Ideas Quickly with Glidden’s Top 10 Color Palettes and XL Paint Chips. The large paint chips help you experience your favorite color in your room’s unique lighting. Plus, all of the chips have two coordinating color options right on the back. Also you really have got to go to the Glidden website and check out the Glidden Room Painter. You can test out a huge array of colors virtually and see what you like! Then maybe get your friend's advice by posting on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

I'm off to check out this website more! Hope you do too!

Do The Reuse Challenge

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aladdin. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of the Do The Reuse Challenge ?

Well I hadn't either until just now. I am just learning about it too. But I wanted to tell you guys about it and what I've found out.

What the Do The Reuse Challenge is - is a 30 day commitment to give up disposable paper cups, water bottles, or food containers. Everyone is invited to join and 9 families will be blogging about their experience.

This challenge is sponsored by  Aladdin.  You can find Aladdin on Facebook. And find out more about the company and their products.

But, as for the challenge, don't you think that is a great idea? It would be great if everyone could take this challenge. One thing that really bugs me is plastic water bottles.  I really dislike all that waste! I've seen info. on how long it takes for them to biodegrade in the environment and it basically is forever! If everyone would just buy a reusable bottle then there would be so much less waste in the world!

Here's just a couple of stats I just learned too:

● In the United States, 50 billion disposable water bottles are consumed per year; 137,000 per day; 1,585 per second.

● Seven million barrels of oil are used to produce the disposable bottles Americans go through in one year.

That is scary stuff! Everyone should take this challenge! I'm really going to look into this more. And another great thing is if you sign up for the challenge you’ll be able to get discounts and free shipping on selected Aladdin products.  That way you can save on Aladdin mugs, bottles and snack containers, which will help you save even more.

Check out the Do The Reuse Challenge today!

Playstation Move Is Here!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PlayStation(R) Move. All opinions are 100% mine.

I know what my son is going to want for Christmas! And that is the new PlayStation(R)MOVE .

He received a Playstation 3 last year for Christmas and already mentioned to me he wants the new Playstation Move this year.

I will have to admit I have never played one single game on the Playstation 3. But I might actually consider playing if we get the new Playstation Move. Have you heard of it? Well -  the PlayStation Move redefines motion gaming with the most immersive and realistic gaming experience only possible on the PlayStation 3 system.

It has a simple design (which is great for me - need to keep it simple!)  From what I've heard to it is really easy to use too. The controller captures a full range of motion. And will give you control over how you play the game.

I bet we will end up buying two of these this year. That way either my son, daughter or I can take turns playing some games. My daughter hasn't had a chance to play any games yet either but would probably love to try with one of these Playstation Move controllers. We could have family game night!

Some games I think look cool are: The Fight: Lights Out; Brunswick Pro Bowling; and TV Superstars. I bet my son will have  few more ideas and there will be even more new games launched soon!

There is also a Move bundle package that will bring motion gaming to your Playstation 3 for only $99.00. I think I will be looking more into that soon! Check it out for yourself!

Aloha Friday & Follow Sites

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My Question:  Do you have a coffee maker? What kind? How old is it?

My Answer: It seems like I ask a lot of "appliance" questions - lol. But another appliance went yesterday. My coffee maker practically "caught on fire" yesterday. It was almost 3 yrs. old. So believe it or not that is a long time for me for one. Got a "cheap" one yest. - which I'm not really too happy with so far - ugh!
