~ on a side note. I am a little frustrated with some of these companies. The water bottle one in particular. I was approved to do a giveaway, then right when the giveaway is coming to a close the tell me it is just a review! To late! I'm already running the giveaway! Then they finally get back to me and tell me that they had to change it because it is a charity, and the cost is too much to manufacture. I feel bad, but they should have thought of that before. Then they want me to give the winner the bottle I have already been using. I don't have a problem with that, but I think the winner deserves a new bottle. I really hope they send my winner the bottle. If not I will have to forward them my own.

Family Talk Review & Giveaway

I recently received a product to review and giveaway. It is called Family Talk.

Product Description:

Engage your family in colorful conversations with this award winning set of 100 portable conversation questions. Diverse topics reveal surprising answers. Family Talk takes the dinner table conversation with you wherever you go! Play in the car, at dinner or on vacation! Family Talk keeps today’s busy families talking! Ages 3+ MSRP $9.99

My Take on the product:
To be honest, over the summer we got in a really bad habit of eating meals in front of the TV. I really don't like doing that. I want to sit around the kitchen table and enjoy meals and conversations. So starting again recently we are back at the kitchen table.

My kids love games (esp. my daughter) so the Family Talk game is fun for her. While having dinner she can pull out the 100 portable cards and ask some questions. For example a question is "What is your favorite messy food?" We can take turns answering and asking these fun questions. This would also be fun on one of our camping or road trips too!

Tom's Of Maine Toothpaste

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tom's of Maine. All opinions are 100% mine.

A few months ago, I saw a contest that  Tom's Of Maine was having on Facebook.  I had to explain a Wicked Fresh moment I had over the summer. I even uploaded a picture on there. I posted about my families experience this summer going up over 6,000 feet to get to the top of Mount Washington in NH. Now that was wicked fresh!

I also received a sample of Tom's of Maine toothpaste to try out. My son and I have been using it. And I really like the flavor of it. I also like that it is made with all natural ingredients.

Now I heard that they are having another contest. I visited That's Wicked Fresh contest page . Just go to the contest page tweet a message about a wicked fresh moment you had. Then follow Tom's of Maine on Twitter. And you will be entered to win a $500 Target Gift Card, and other Wicked Fresh Prizes. For an extra entry also be sure to "Like" Tom's of Maine on Facebook.

Check out this contest now! It's going on now until December 23rd! And you really should Like them on Facebook, because they have lots of info on there. And sometimes have free samples like I got!

I recently received some products from Udderly Smooth to review & offer in a giveaway.

Product Description:
Made in the USA for over thirty years, Udderly Smooth® products contain rich moisturizing ingredients. Not your average moisturizing lotion- Udderly Smooth® can be used on Dry Skin, Cracked Skin, forDiabetes Foot Care, as a Facial Moisturizer, as a General Moisturizing Lotion and many other uses.  Ideal for winter dry skin. Our products are reasonably priced and extremely effective.  They can make a perfect stocking stuffer.

My Take on the Product:
I received Udderly Smooth Moisturizing Lotion, Udderly Smooth Foot Cream,  and some Udder Cream. These products are just wonderful! I've always been a big lotion person anyways. And I'm really loving the Udderly Smooth products.

I love putting lotion on my hands, especially right before bed and the Moisturizing Lotion is great for that. I plan to use the Udder Cream on my arms and legs, it's thicker then the Moisturizing lotion, and will be perfect in the winter for my dry skin.

My husband and daughter have also been liking these products. My husband seems to be enjoying the foot cream, and has used it a few times when he gets home from work. My daughter has had problems with irritation from some lotions, but seems to really like the Udderly Smooth ones!

WW #130 "Another Veteran's Day Parade"

You've probably seen similar pics on here from past Veteran's Day Parades, but once again my daughter marched in last weeks parade.

I was so busy looking at my son's High School band (not like he's in it or anything)
(c) stay at home mom

That I almost missed my daughter's Girl Scout Troop - who were marching right behind it. Here's some shots, my daughter's the one carrying the big flag (not very good - to far away I guess)

Also her big brother doesn't march in the parade, but twice a year is in the sidelines cheering her on. On a cold and windy day. Here's a picture of the two of them after the parade.

Aurorae Yoga Review

I recently received a product to review, from Aurorae Yoga. I received the  Aurorae Northern Lights Yoga Mat.

Product Description:

Aurorae Northern Lights Yoga Mat with Golden Sun Focal Icon - Most Innovative Design that will Awaken the Energy within you. PER Eco Safe Material, Biodegradable and Phthalates free With the flow of our universe's solar winds and the magnetic energy from its ultimate source, the sun, Aurorae's Northern Lights has been created. Dance with nature's spirits and from this incredible Illumination, draw the power and potential within yourself.

This unique design replicates the Natural Phenomenon and Energy Source of Northern Lights.

Each individual mat has a uniqueness of its own and no two mats are exactly the same. So find the Power and Potential within you and Live It.

My Take on the Product:
I don't know if any of you recall, but awhile ago I talked about giving Yoga a try.  I took some videos out on the subject and gave it a try. To be honest I probably didn't give it a fair try, because I only did it for about 2 or 3 days. I think I was doing the advanced Yoga, and should start off at a more beginners level.

I think another problem, might have been that I didn't have a Yoga Mat at the time. The hard wood floor isn't really comfortable for Yoga. Now I'm really willing to give it another try. With my new Aurorae Northern Lights Yoga Mat, I think I could really enjoy Yoga this time. I love the color of it! And this yoga mat is really a great size - it is extra long - 72" X 24" Wide! It is also nice and cushy with 1/4" thickness. Which will be great for my hard wood floor!

I got a pic of my trusty assistant - my daughter trying out the mat. We also received the Yoga Strap to try out too!

Maybe now I also have Yoga partner!

QwikShower Wipes Review

I recently received a product called QwikShower Wipes to review.

Product Description:
QwikShower Wipes are a must-have for active children and pubescent tweens and teens who get soiled, sweaty, stinky and self-conscious.  These portable single-use disposable washcloths offer an easy, convenient and economical way to help kids get clean and eliminate embarrassing grime and body odor after gym class, sports, outdoor play and other physical activities. QwikShower Wipes are also great for adults for use after the gym, a jog, when traveling, during a long shift at the office, or even after work en route to another engagement. Purchase online at www.QwikShower.com

My Take on the Product:
My son is at the adolescent hormonal teen age years.  I noticed sometimes he can be a little stinky. Even if he takes a shower and uses deodorant (which he forgets to do most of the time), he still will smell sweaty at the end of the day.

Especially on the days that he has gym class, he comes home smelling less then fresh. So when I received the QwikShower Wipes samples - I had him try one when he got home from school. It really seemed to eliminate a lot of the smell. This week at school, I told him to pack some in his back-pack, so after gym he could use one right away to freshen up!

These also would be great for adults too. In the summer we do a lot of camping and hiking. And it's not always convenient to take a shower. So I'm thinking these would be great on one of our camping trips!

Buy it: You can purchase QwikShower Wipes individual packs starting at 49 cents (and w/ free shipping!) by going here: QwikShower.com

Isabella Water Bottle Review & Giveaway

Product Description:

Isabella Water www.isabellawater.org  was founded on the principle that everyone deserves clean water. The founder, Nick Ogden, is a visionary and all around smart guy. Isabella Water offers a very cool looking stainless steel water bottle that retails for $20 to encourage people to stop buying plastic bottled water.  Once someone purchases the recycled and reusable bottle, $10 of every purchase will help fund a well to provide clean water in Africa or Asia.  Across the globe, one out of every eight people does not have access to clean drinking water. This is the perfect gift for those who want to go green and help someone at the same time - perfect stocking stuffer or holiday gift for teachers, clergy, gym rats and cyclists.

My Take on the Product :
I'm not really that much of an athletic person. As far as I don't go to the gym or jog or run or anything. But I do like to do some outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, camping and stuff like that. So doing those things especially with my family we are always needing a water bottle to take with us.

I'm also a big believer in the environment. And really balk at buying disposable plastic water bottles. So I really love something that is environmentally friendly like this Isabella Water Bottle. I also admire that they are donating to help countries in need of clean water.

Currently my daughter is actually using the bottle at school. This way she can bring in some nice clean water from home and drink it throughout the day. Great - especially on gym day. And it this stainless steel bottle really keeps the water cold!

Buy It:

Isabella Water bottles can only be purchased online! Buy one for $22.00 here

Camera Critters!

My 8 month old kitty (Pepper)  loves to sit in the windows and look out. During the summer she loved to sit right in the windows. But now that it's fall, they are shut. So my husband made her a little shelf on the window she can sit on and look out.

Sand Gone Review & Giveaway

Last week I got a new product to review. It is called Sand Gone. I also have one to giveaway too!

Product Description
Sand Gone is a dry body powder that when applied to sandy parts of your body removes the sand leaving your skin soft and smooth.  A must for beachgoers.  Works great after children after playing in the sand box. All natural ingredients smells like coconut.

My Take on the Product:
Since I can't really get to the beach this time of year, I received a small sample of sand with the product.  I wet my hand to get it damp. And then placed some of the sand on it. I then applied the Sand Gone on with the powder puff. With out much rubbing the sand came right off. I even had my husband try it out, and he said it worked pretty good.

This product will come in handy when we go to the beach. Last summer we spent a lot of time at the beach, and before you leave you have that sandy feeling all over, this would be great to use before you ride home. Or like my husband suggested, your hands are all sandy and your just about to eat lunch. You could put some of the Sand Gone on, and get the sand right off. Sand Gone also smells really good! Nice coconut smell.

Buy It: You can purchase an 8 oz. family size Sand Gone for $12.95 here

Win It:  One lucky reader will win Sand Gone!

Flashback Friday - Daughter & Grandma

Flashback Friday Button

This picture is of my Mother-in-Law and my daughter. I think this was taken probably in 2001, when my daughter was only about 9 month old.

I've been thinking of my MIL a lot lately, because she was in a nursing home over the summer. But just recently got to go back home. I hope she is doing a lot better!

NESCAFE Dolce Gusto Machine!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nestle Dolce Gusto. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'm really excited about something new I found out about. I want to share with you some information about the NESCAFE Dolce Gusto machine.

It really has a lot of great features. There are a few key features involved with the NESCAFE Dolce Gusto machine. One thing about it that is exciting, is it brings you authentic coffeehouse quality right to your own home. This machine uses the high pressure normally found in coffehouse machines.

One thing I found that was amazing - is it has a 15-bar pressure pump. It not only produces an authentic coffee shop taste every time, it also creates the all-important and delicious crema layer and a frothy milk. This will give home-brewed latte macchiatos and cappuccinos, a genuine Italian taste!

Another great feature that this machine has is it produces a customized coffee experience for everyone's taste. Whether or not you like hot or cold coffee, this machine has it all. You can enjoy a cold Iced Cappuccino, or a hot coffee to start your morning. There are 8 different varieties of coffee to customize to your individual taste.

One more function, I want to tell you about is the style of the NESCAFE Dolce. It really has a unique look and a modern design. It comes in 3 colors with chrome detailing. How about candy apple red, creamy white, or sophisticated black?

Check out the Website for more info. on all of this and all the reviews posted about it too! It's very exiting!

WW #128 "Halloween 2010"

Last year I had entered some kind of Halloween contest, and I received a coupon code for a Halloween costume. I was so excited when almost a year later the code was still good. So I really did it up for my daughter's costume this year.

She went as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. One of the only problems though, was unfortunately it was only about 40 degrees out on Halloween and the poor kid was freezing! Oh well!

And before you ask -  yes she did have ruby slippers on, I just didn't get them in the shots.
