IceBloc - New Hip Hop Group

I have to admit, I am a big 80's music fan. It's not my fault! That's the decade, I first started getting into music. I remember around the time I was in 8th grade, was when I really discovered music. In the 80's was when I bought my first album, and started to like certain bands.

Well times have changed, and I am finding myself with diversified tastes in music. I have started to listen to different music on the radio. One station I like has started to play a lot of hip hop music. And I am starting to like some of the new music.

I found out that there are some
new hip hop artists on the scene. The name of the latest, hottest group is IceBloc. IceBloc is made up of two guys, whose names are John Keys and Vernon Norfleet. They also go by the names J DOT and Vito, respectively.

I was just listening to some of their music on their myspace page. It actually is pretty good. Their newest album is called, KRANKMUZIK.

Although, I'll always be an 80's music fan in my heart, I am willing to give new music a try too. And I found that hip hop music is something I kind of like. I'd be willing to listen to IceBloc some more. Check them out if you like hip hop music too!

WW 53 "Spring Break"

This week is the kids "Spring Break." You think it was Summer break, though, with the weather we've been having. The past 4 days were in the 80's and yesterday was 93 degrees! Here's some pictures of kids at the beach.

We have gone to 2 different beaches, on three different days this week. I never in my life remember going to the beach in April!

SeaWorld And It's Newest Attraction

I love SeaWorld! I have been to the one in Florida twice. The last time I went though was almost 15 years ago. I would really like to go back there someday.

Next month would actually be a great time to go. Because opening in about 23 days is a their newest attraction. It is called
Manta. This ride looks like it will be an awesome roller coaster! On it you will spin, glide, and fly like a giant ray. It is the only roller coaster of its kind in the World.

It's a blend of up close animal encounters with a head-first, face-down thrill ride. And it is only at SeaWorld.

And now SeaWorld is having a contest. You could win a "Front of the Line" pass. You will be able to ride Manta easily by getting right on the ride. And it is easy to enter the contest. There are only 6 steps to enter. First click the link above to register for an account. Then either get a Twitter account or use your existing Twitter account and follow @RealShamu.

Next find answers to the Manta quiz on the website. Correctly answer 5 questions to the quiz. Be careful though, because you only get three chances. Upon completion you will receive an email from them. If you complete all six of the activities on the site, you'll go straight to the front of the line when you earn Manta "Front-of-the-line" pass at SeaWorld Orlando.

Camera Critters - Reggie

This is Reggie. He is my in-laws dog. Which is actually my sister-in-law and mother-in-law, because they live together. He is the cutest, friendliest little dog. But he is also very attached to his mommy's.

Last weekend I wanted to take him for a walk. But he wasn't having it because neither one of his mommy's were coming.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

Yesterday, after dinner, my daughter went out to ride her bike. Before she left she said it was raining. It had just started and only lasted for a few minutes. The sun then came out.

A few minutes later my daughter came running back in the house. And was yelling, "Mommy come quick, grab your camera. There's a rainbow outside!" She was all excited. I panicked and ran around crazy trying to find my camera.

Luckily I found it and got these pictures! I took about 10 pictures but I think these two came out the best. Which doesn't really do the rainbow justice, it was a full arc one. And was so bright. It is hard to really capture, but I tried. I love rainbows!

Keep Squirrels Out of Your Home & Garden

I am a nature lover. I love all animals and would never want to hurt any of them. I even love squirrels. They are so cute, running around collecting nuts and running up trees. With their cute fluffy tails.

But squirrels can also be somewhat of a nuisance. Especially if you feed the birds, like I do. Does this picture look familiar?

Now, like I said I love all animals, and don't want to hurt any of them. But when a squirrel gets on my bird feeder, I really do get angry. I do not want them getting on top of my feeder eating all the seed.

Squirrels can also eat plants in your garden. Which can be annoying, since you spend a lot of time and money planting everything. They also can be a problem if they get in your house. If they get in your attic or anywhere else in your house. They can chew on your installation or your electrical wiring. This happened to my mother last year. She discovered a few squirrels had found a way into her attic and were nesting up there. They made a mess of some stuff up there and even chewed through her Christmas Tree lights!

Well, if you have this problem with squirrels, there are
squirrel repellents that can help. Havahart squirrel repellents can help keep squirrels away from your feeders, garden and out of your attic! They repel by taste and odor. And are safe for all your plants. And they don't harm the animals, they just keep them away from where you don't want them! Check out their complete line of repellents to keep squirrels and other wildlife away from your home!

Protect Their Future with Cryo-Cell

Above is a picture of my kids. That picture was actually taken a couple of years ago at Christmas time. A couple of years later they look different. They grow up so fast!

When my children were born I didn't hear anything about saving their cord blood. If it was an option, I honestly didn't know about it. So, unfortunately I didn't save their cord blood.

Well now there is definitely that option for people having children. Cryo-Cell is helping families protect their children's future. Just read the following testimonial from a mother who is using Cryo-Cell:

"My children are the most precious gifts that I will ever have and I want to do everything I can to make sure they are well. While I was pregnant with my first child, I would see articles and ads about cord blood and it bothered me that it was so expensive but what if I one day needed this blood. The reality of having only one chance or it really went in the garbage kept me wondering if I would regret not investing. What if he had cancer or his dad or I were sick, would that blood have been the cure? Through research, I came across Cryo-Cell International, Inc., a company with the most reasonable rates and the assurance of two holding facilities.
When I was pregnant with my second child, we wondered if one bank was enough? Finances were tighter and should we spend the money? Then we realized that his brothers blood might not match for the new baby. The next day, stories were breaking about how Cord blood had saved or changed the lives of children, one cancer, one cerebral palsy. Then we discovered that a friend was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. He didn't bank his daughters blood and wished he had. Three years prior, I lost a friend to renal cancer when she was 29. We felt like it was our answer.
We are just beginning to see miracles that this blood can bring. We have two "life insurance policies", that is how we look at it. If anyone in the family gets ill, there is a chance that the blood could save our lives. If we don't use it, then it is there for our son's children."
Sincerely, mother of Parker and Davis
Cryo-Cell International Client

I wish I had this option when my kids were born. Heaven forbid if they ever get seriously sick or are diagnosed with a disease, but if I had their cord blood I could use it to save their lives. Since cord blood is known to treat over 70 different diseases. This really is an investment for your children's future.

And now when you sign up you will receive a free Baby Bjorn. Please visit Cryo-Cell now to start protecting your family!

The Hannah Montana Movie

I just got back from "The Hannah Montana Movie." Call me a sucker, but I actually really liked this movie. My daughter is a big Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana fan, so she definitely wanted to see the movie.

As I've mentioned before, AMC Theaters, offers Sat, Sun. and holidays, first showings at $4.00 a ticket. So we went to the first showing today. And it was actually a really good movie. It was funny in parts and touching other parts. I actually laughed so hard at one point some girl in front of me turned around to look at me.

I don't really want to give any of the plot away. But if you or anyone you know are Hannah Montana fans I would really recommend this movie. It was actually really good.

Of course now my daughter wants the movie soundtrack!

Camera Critters - Neighbor's Cat

This cat's name is Indie. It's not my cat, but my mother's neighbors cat. I took these on Easter. This is the friendliest cat, I've ever met. Indie will come running across the street to be petted. It will go in my mother's house. And the elementary school children who walk by Indie's house everyday to and from school get greeted by the cat.

New PayPerPost v4.0!

Did you hear there is going to be a new PayPerPost? Well there is and it's called PayPerPost v4.0. I found out about it the other day by reading the Izea blog.

Right now the new PayPerPost system is in the alpha stage. It is being tested to see how it works and to fix any bugs it might have.

This is really exciting news, though for all bloggers who are members of PayPerPost. The Izea Team has taken all of our feedback from the last 3 years, and incorporated it into the new PayPerPost v4.0.

Bloggers will no longer have to fight over an opportunity again. Each blogger will be assigned different opportunities based on their blogs criteria. Advertisers will be able to have more control over which blogs they work with. Check out a screen shot from my accounts dashboard:

Based on my profile I was matched up with an opportunity. You have 3 days to complete the opportunities. In fact this post I'm writing now is one of my opportunities. This is a sponsored opportunity.

So if you want to be included in this exciting alpha stage of the new Payperpost, visit the Izea blog. Leave a comment on there and you may be given an alpha key, to try out the new system.

Camera Critters - Cows

My grandmother lived in the country. I also lived in her house for the first 5 years of my marriage. There was a farm across the street with cows. They even would put an electric fence around our yard in the summer to keep the cows in.

These pictures were actually taken one year when the cows were in our yard.

150 Songs for 99 Cents!

Picture_1

I love downloading songs. It is so much fun to be able to get just the right song that you want. Buying a song for 99 cents doesn't sound like much, but it can add up. If you want to buy a lot of songs it can get expensive.

MINE FALLS PARK
(click to see larger image on flickr)

This is a picture I took at another one of my favorite places. It is called "Mine Falls Park." There are walking and biking trails. The Nashua River runs through it and there is a Canal. In the 1700s there was a working Canal system there.

I love walking in this park! This is a view of the Nashua River.

WW #50 - "First Bike Ride"

We broke out the bikes this past weekend. The kids loved having their first bike ride of the year. They have wanted to ride them practically every day since. Especially my daughter, she wants to ride it as much as she can.

Me being the overprotective Mom, though gets paranoid and nervous of them on the bikes. I'm trying to get over it!

Customized Invitations

I found out the other day that my best friend, from college, is getting married! I received something in the mail from her that said invitations to follow.

I can't wait to see what her wedding invitations will look like. Which got me thinking about invitations. And how great it is that you can customize your own invitations. You can do this all on Vista Print.

There are so many occasions for invitations, such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc. Now you can create and personalize your own invitations easily from Vista Print. For example, my husband's 50th birthday is coming up at the end of this month. I would love to have a party for him. Below is an example of an invitation I found on Vista Print.

I could then personalize this invitation to make it really special. With Vista Print invitations I would get high quality full color printing. Also included are matching envelopes. And the invitations are so easy to create and you can receive them in as little as 3 days!

I'm so happy for my friend who is getting married this fall. I may email her later to tell her about Vista Print invitations. It is so easy to create your own invitations through them. And if she ordered now, she may even be able to save 25% off her order. With the prices they are offering, who wouldn't want to customize their own invitations on Vista Print?

I just love parties! I can't wait for my husband's birthday & my friend's wedding!

Red Sox Opening Day!

Today is one of my favorite days. It is Opening day at Fenway Park! Which technically, was supposed to be yesterday. But the game was postponed due to rain. Red Sox fans everywhere, including myself were a little disappointed.

But the game should go on as scheduled today at 4:05! I'm psyched! Go Sox! And I'm also excited because I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to a game next month! I can't wait for that! I'll keep you posted!

I hope I don't bore anyone with this. But now that the Red Sox season is starting again, I'll probably have a few more posts on the Red Sox. Because if you read my blog at all last season, you'll know I'm their No. 1 fan!

Entrecard Top Droppers for March

Below is my Top Droppers for March. Sorry in the delay in posting this. But I did copy this from my statistics on March 31st.

Programming Made Easy
Symphony of Love
Mr Soleh’s Outburst
The Way I See It
ik.my
I Learn Online Marketing
Laane Loves
Lola's Diner
My second trial
EzGreatLife

Also I have been with Entrecard for a year. I remember I joined March 2008. I have enjoyed the fellow bloggers I have meet through Entrecard. I have also enjoyed the traffic I get from it. I also was the first in my category last week. That was the first time that ever happened since I joined.

There is a lot of controversy going on now with the paid ads. At first I approved them, now I'm not. I didn't realize when this was talked about before, that it would be like this. Is there a point to dropping anymore? Or to advertising on blogs, when you will just be knocked out by the paid ones? I hope they can come up with a better plan for this, because I would like to stay with Entrecard.
