Camera Critters - Cows

My grandmother lived in the country. I also lived in her house for the first 5 years of my marriage. There was a farm across the street with cows. They even would put an electric fence around our yard in the summer to keep the cows in.

These pictures were actually taken one year when the cows were in our yard.

I like where I live now. But sometimes I really miss the country.

  1. Not a lot of cows in my 'hood :)

    I played too :)

  2. I like cows ... their big brown eyes!

  3. I used to live in the country too.

The cows, in the paddock next door, would often stand with their heads hanging over our fence, watching what we were doing..I kinda miss that..

    Nice photos..

  4. Those in particular are a beautiful color.

    Happy Critturday!

  6. Beautiful cows. It seems like less and less white faces out in the country today.

  7. I love the country, too. We live in the 'burbs now, but fortunately small-town enough that I don't have to drive far to see the countryside. I love the second photo!

  8. i miss it a lot especially in the Spring !!Sandy

  9. How now brown cow?... ever heard that saying?

Nice photos. I'm curious - did you ever hold or touch the electric fence? It's a strange feeling.

  10. Wonderful photos, cows are such lovely animals.

  11. lovely cows. it reminds me of my hometown. happy easter.

  12. Cool pictures. We don´t get to see cows here in my city.
Passing by to wish you and your family a Good Easter Sunday!

  13. Never had a cow in my yard! LOL
My mom used to say if she were an animal, she'd like to be a cow.

  14. Hi Sue,
Nice pictures of the cows. I do live in the country and we have cows around us. We have had cows in our yard and also pigs before. The cows are pretty to look at. Always have to watch the fields when we are walking in them. Do not want to step in a cow paddy. I am still afraid of the big bulls though. :-)
