Some people will require assistants face-to-face, but in today’s digital age, many employers find assistants can do work from anywhere. You can either be an employee of an organization or become a freelance assistant where you work for a few different people.

If you have sufficient expertise in a given field, such as history or English, then you should consider becoming a tutor. You can speak with your client via Skype or FaceTime. This is entry-level work, and you can do it from your laptop or smartphone.
