Aloha Friday #11

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question: What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

My answer: We are going to my Mother's house. I am spoiled, my Mom does most of the cooking. Then Bonus - my kids will stay there for the weekend, while my husband and I can have a weekend to ourselves, and hopefully get some more Christmas shopping done.

  1. We are staying home this year due to finances. We're going to have a small turkey and some side dishes. It's the first Thanksgiving we haven't spent with other family but I think it will still be fun!

  2. Your so lucky to have a weekend to yourself without kids. We are spending Thanksgiving with just my husband and the kids. So we will have a nice dinner and some nice family time.

  5. I will be heading North to Maine, to spend Thanksgiving with his family. Then back to NH to do some Christmas shopping on Black Friday.

All weekend will be dedicated to Stuff the Bus, its our largest Toy Drive for the Hampton Firefighters Toy Bank program. (www.hamptonfirefighters.com)

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and hope that you get to spend it with family!!!

  6. Sounds like a lot of fun! We will be going to my in-law's. We have to bring the sweet potatoes, and a couple of pies. My sister-in-law's family will not be there so the kids won't be able to play with their cousins but I'm sure we will have a good time anyway.

Enjoy your weekend break from your kids!

  7. We are headed to my Mother in laws, which is our tradition. We have a such a great time. The only thing that stinks is that I don't get to do a lot of shopping on Friday because NY has sales tax and we don't so I don't like to buy too much and pay that extra 8%.
