Stem Cell Breakthrough

I was just reading the C'elle Blog and I read a lot of useful information. The blog discusses the fact that in 2007 C'elle announced it's discovery of a novel stem cell technology. In November 2007 they launched the worlds first ever commercial service for stem cell collection. C'elle allows women to collect and cryopreserve their own menstrual stem cells.

These stem cells can be used for future therapeutic use by the donor or possibly a first degree relative. Menstrual fluid potentially contains an ideal source of viable stem cells. These stem cells can provide a source for a large range of regenerative stem cell therapies.

Menstrual flow contains millions of unique stem cells. These stem cells have properties similar to bone marrow and embryonic stem cells. Menstrual flow stem cells can multiply rapidly and can possibly differentiate into every other stem cell in the body. This is an amazing breakthrough in stem cell science. C'elle has quite possibly discovered the Holy Grail of stem cells.

This is great news for women who would like to collect these potentially life saving stem cells that are found in their menstrual cycle. The collection of cells is an easy process. This would be great for anyone who would like to preserve the future health of either themselves, or their loved ones.
