Blogging Just Got Harder

(pic. from camping trip -last summer)

Oh no! Today is my kids last day of school! Not even a full day. My son gets out at 11:30, and my daughter gets out at 12:30. Where did the year go? It went by so fast! I can't believe my son is going into 7th grade next year! And my daughter will be going into 3rd.

One thing that has dawned on me the past couple of days is that it's going to be harder to do my "Blogging Thing," over the summer. I'm not complaining to a point, because I love Summer. It's my favorite season of the year. I love the hot weather, doing outdoor activities and spending time with my kids.

Since I started this blog back in January I have spent a lot of time doing all the things that go with blogging. Probably too much time! Between doing stuff on Entrecard, MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, SocialSpark, to name a few, and actually writing the posts on my blog! I spend a lot of time doing all this.

Now that the kids will be out of school, I think that is about to change. Because we'll be busy doing those summer activities. Another reason is because my son also loves to spend time on the computer, and I think we will be fighting for time on it!

I think I'm addicted! And will probably have withdrawal symptoms - lol. I actually have cut back since my return from Disney World a few month ago. It was actually nice to not deal with it for a week while I was on my vacation. So who knows maybe summer vacation will end up doing me some good! (Don't worry I'll still be blogging - just might be a little more difficult until school starts again)

  1. Blogging can be fun, but I think family come first.

So have fun with your family. You readers can alway wait for your post.

  2. I can't help but smile when I came upon the portion of your post stating how you will "fight" with your son over the computer...because this is what happened to me too the previous months. I "fought" with my son for its use.

But then he got a better idea so he actually "robbed" me of some cash to buy a new desktop. (An expense that I did not prioritize.)

But I was thankful he insisted. Now we take our own sweet time in the internet, not being pressured or hurrying.

And it would be fun spending sometime with your kids. Bonding between parent and child should never be put in the background.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. A break can be very refreshing sometimes. Have a great summer with your cuties! But I am happy we are having 2 computers and there is no fight about it :-)

  4. I'm sure you will find it good to spend your time with the children :)
Though I have to admit that blogging/maintaining a website can be very addictive :)
("Just these few drops in EC and I swear I stand up :P)
Have a beautiful summer with your family :)

  5. I had to look where you lived after I read this post. My children also have their last day of school today and ALSO get out at 11:30! Good luck! I'm a little nervous about the summer, too, but I am also looking forward to it.

  6. I am TOTALLY addicted! If I make a run to the grocery store, I feel like I'm missing something online! That's pretty pathetic isn't it!?

My daughter is going into 7th grade next year also. I'm having trouble accepting the fact that she's moving up to junior high.

  7. Hi Sue,
I enjoyed you post. I would have to say that I love my computer. My kids like the computer also. I plan on sharing it, more with them. I hope you do get a little break from the computer and enjoy your summer with your family. Take care! :-)

  8. All 3 of my kids fight over the computer, I give them a 30 minute turn at a time - when I'm done that is, lol. Have a great summer!
