New Post

Sorry everyone. Haven't posted anything much in a long time. I do have a book review soon for you. And hoping for some more giveaways. Or opportunities. Nothing much going on with this blog til then. And I really am discouraged sometimes about blogging a lot most of the time. Will either really try to re-vamp this blog soon or give it up eventually lol.

In the mean time been busy with my daughter. It is her Senior year of high school and she is graduating soon. And she just had her final dance recital last week too. After dancing since she was 5 and now she is 18. So it is very bittersweet. I will try to share some pictures of that soon too.

Hope to be back here soon with some updates I guess thanks. ...for now here is a cute picture of my dog Mabel lol.

In The Summer Time

I'm joining the Friday posts from  Finish the Sentence Friday!  check it out and Link up HERE.
*(love the song In the Summer Time)

Some things I will miss about Summer are not to be weird is Hummingbirds. I love hummingbirds and we have a feeder right outside our porch, And we get about 3 or 4 hummingbirds buzzing around. By the end of the Summer they get so used to you that if you're sitting out there they buzz right up to your face to check you out. It is really cool, my husband likes them too.

Camping 2014

My daughter and I went on sort of a spur of the moment camping trip.  - It was more spur of the moment than usual - because we only had like 3 days planning time. My husband had to work - so he just set up the camper for us.

A Thousand Words Thursday

Even though the kids have been back to school for over a week, I'm having a hard time letting Summer go. It really went by fast. And on top of it we had kinda lousy weather this Summer. The news reported it was the 4th rainiest Summer in over a hundred years!

We had a some good weather though. And when I want to think of Summer I look at this picture of my daughter. We were at the sprinklers at the park, and her Grammy bought her an ice cream from the ice cream man. This is what happened:

Summer Vacation In Branson

Looking for a great place to take a vacation? Well how about trying Branson Missouri? It is located in the Midwest and is quickly becoming the entertainment capital of that area.

And there is no better place to stay while in Branson then the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. This is a picture of a room you can find at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. Doesn't it look nice?

While visiting their website I also saw this photo of the indoor pool at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. This looks so inviting.

And while visiting either one of these great hotels, you can also enjoy the many activities in Branson. Some that are going on this summer are a Father's Day Salute, A National Kids Fest, and the 10th Annual Clown Jam!

Both hotels are also close to championship golf courses, such as the new Payne Stewart Golf club. There are also over 49 live entertainment theaters in the area. While there you can also enjoy terrific shopping, dining, boutiques, and a river walk. There are also many more attractions to check out too.

So if you're looking for a super place to take a summer vacation then why not look into Branson!

Summer Vacation Is Coming Up

I can't believe this weekend is Memorial Day Weekend! That came up quick. Soon Summer vacation is going to be here. My family and I like to do a lot of camping in the summer. I have already planned one camping trip, we are taking. We have reservations for 4 day camping trip Fourth of July weekend. I hope to make some more plans for our vacation soon.

One thing that would be really cool, is if we could take a trip to
Kissimmee. There is a lot of fun things to do there. While in Kissimmee you can visit World Class Theme Parks. These theme parks include, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and Seaworld Orlando. Kissimmee is central to all these theme parks, and no Kissimme vacation would be complete without visiting at least one or two of these theme parks. That's why it's great to plan your theme park vacation in Kissimme, because it is the heart of Florida.

While in Kissimme, another cool thing I would like to do is go on an air boat ride. My sister went on one of these when she was in Florida, and said it was a blast. You can really see nature up close and enjoy the great outdoors on one of these air boats. And you can go fast and have a lot of fun doing it too.

That is the great thing about a vacation in Kissimmee, you can visit all the great theme parks and also enjoy the outdoors. You can see all the great things in Florida and enjoy the small town atmosphere of Kissimmee.

And you can have a chance to win a trip to Kissimme. Enter the sweepstakes and you could win either a weekend getaway or a week long vacation. Wouldn't that be cool? I don't know about you, but I am really getting excited about Summer vacation! And now is a great time to start planning yours!

Summer Reading

I love to read. I have always been a reader. Ever since I was in Grammar School. I remember one time my school had a read-a-thon. Where you raise money for every book you read. I think we gave the money to the March-of-Dimes. Anyway, you had a month to read as many books as you could. I remember I read over 30 books! It was like a book a day!

It's harder to do as much reading now a days. With all the other stuff that needs to get done. But I still like to read when I get a chance. I got my love of reading from my mother. She reads constantly. And I'm trying to pass it on to my kids.

My son likes to read, but doesn't do it as much as he should. And my daughter is just starting to read on her own. Books she likes. Before "Mom" was still kind of reading to her. But now she likes to read to herself, which is great.

One thing that was cool, was the first day of no school, my kids actually wanted to go to the book store to pick out a book! I thought that was great, so they could continue to do reading over the summer. Like I said before my daughter loves American Girls. So she picked out an American Girl book. My Son picked out "Flush," by Carl Hiaasen. He also wrote the book "Hoot," which they had made into a movie a couple of years ago. And I'm reading a Danielle Steel book (I know not to serious, but I like to read that kind of book, especially in the Summer), "The Wedding."

So get to the book store, or your local library and get books for everyone! Do some Summer Reading! What books are you reading? Any good suggestions for kids books?

***Here's links to the books we're reading****

Blogging Just Got Harder

(pic. from camping trip -last summer)

Oh no! Today is my kids last day of school! Not even a full day. My son gets out at 11:30, and my daughter gets out at 12:30. Where did the year go? It went by so fast! I can't believe my son is going into 7th grade next year! And my daughter will be going into 3rd.

One thing that has dawned on me the past couple of days is that it's going to be harder to do my "Blogging Thing," over the summer. I'm not complaining to a point, because I love Summer. It's my favorite season of the year. I love the hot weather, doing outdoor activities and spending time with my kids.

Since I started this blog back in January I have spent a lot of time doing all the things that go with blogging. Probably too much time! Between doing stuff on Entrecard, MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, SocialSpark, to name a few, and actually writing the posts on my blog! I spend a lot of time doing all this.

Now that the kids will be out of school, I think that is about to change. Because we'll be busy doing those summer activities. Another reason is because my son also loves to spend time on the computer, and I think we will be fighting for time on it!

I think I'm addicted! And will probably have withdrawal symptoms - lol. I actually have cut back since my return from Disney World a few month ago. It was actually nice to not deal with it for a week while I was on my vacation. So who knows maybe summer vacation will end up doing me some good! (Don't worry I'll still be blogging - just might be a little more difficult until school starts again)
