Everything You Ever Wanted Book Review & Giveaway

Hi all. I have a really cool book review and giveaway for you today. This book is just being released today. And here is some info on it:

In 2010, Jillian Lauren tumbled headfirst onto the literary scene with her bestselling debut, Some Girls: My Life in a Harem. Widely praised as a rare, honest, and vulnerable memoir, Some Girls told the story of how a nice young girl, raised in the suburbs of New Jersey, came to be an international concubine in the harem of the Prince of Brunei.

Even in the long shadow of a raucous past, Jillian's most radical act is still ahead of her. Tariku is a precocious, adorable child, but his behavior presents challenges that mount by the day. After Tariku is diagnosed with PTSD and Sensory Processing Disorder, Jillian is saved by her fierce, bold love for her son as she navigates the special needs community, fighting to make him—and herself—feel safe and at home in the world.

This  hilarious  and  poignant  memoir  explores  complex  issues  of  identity  and  reinvention.  It  is  a redemption story in which Jillian only finds her Happily Ever After by finally realizing there’s no such thing.

EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED is a must-read for everyone, especially every mother, who has ever hoped for a second act in life.

my review:

Honestly I was in the middle of reading a Stephen King book, (my new goal to read them all lol), when this book arrived and I had less than a week to read it. This is deemed a "memoir" and when I picked my daughter up from school last week she saw it in the car and looked at it and said 'eww.. a memoir' ha-ha teenagers right?
Well anyway I read a little. And put it down, didn't have time to read it, until a few days later, when I found myself in the orthodontist's office (see post on daughter getting braces.) I was in waiting room for almost 2 1/2 hrs so I had time to read. I read about half the book in that time, and was really getting into the story.
I know it's no big deal to do, but I basically really started it on Thursday and finished it on Sunday. So for me that is saying something. Like this is a really good book and once you start reading it you really will just want to keep reading.
You can read above for yourself above (and or on Amazon), what this book is about so I am not really going to explain it all to you - lol. Or I guess explain a little - that it is partly - about how she and her husband adopt their son from an orphanage in Ethiopia And to let you know how much I liked this book and you will too. This book is really interesting from all perspectives, story how the author and husband met, story about adoption, story about the different challenges her son has. I would really recommend this book to you.
I liked it so much, I really want to check out Jillian Lauren's other books after this too!
