My family loves tacos and they love to play games so when MyBlogSpark, asked me to review Old El Paso El Tacodor game, I thought that was perfect.
I received two coupons for Old El Paso taco kits, a $10 gift certificate to purchase the rest of the fixings for the tacos (meat, lettuce, etc.) and the El Tacodor game.
I went to the store and made my purchases, and then Saturday I made our tacos. Then we played the El Tacodor game. My kids were pretty excited about it. They love tacos and they also thought it was really fun to be able to play a game while eating dinner.
The El Tacodor game comes with player score cards and an instruction sheet with questions to answer. Each player takes turns answering questions from different categories. The categories include: Crunch Time, Meat-N-Greet, Lettuce Play, In The Lime Light, Say Cheese. An example of a question is: Pick a partner. Together name 5 foods that start with the letter "W." Which we actually got kind of stuck on.
Who ever answers one question from each category first wins. My kids had a great time playing this. By the end of the game my daughter was in the lead, and only needed one more question to win. It was my son's turn, and he challenged my daughter to this question: Pick a challenger. They say a 2 letter word, you say a 3 letter word, and so on. When the person gets stuck you score. It was fun to see how competitive my kids were. And I was surprised how far they went on this question. My daughter got up to a 12 letter word, and then my son couldn't come up with a 13 letter one. So my daughter won.
Here's some pictures of them playing the game:
Who ever wins the game gets the title of "El Tacodor." My daughter was very excited when she won and even made a moustach and was pretending she was "El Tacodor."
This game was really fun for everyone, and we will definitely play it again.

We love the do-it-yourself part. Everyone loves to pile on their favorite fixings and leave off what they don't like.
ReplyDeleteThe best part is sitting down as a family. There aren't too many times we get to do that during a week and tacos are something everybody loves and they're insanely easy to prepare so it's a winner all-around.
ReplyDeletewe really do have a lot of fun seeing who leaves the least amount of mess on their plate! (I usually lose! lol!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part

is 'made just right'!

ReplyDeleteI love that no one complains about dinner on taco night. It's one of the few meals my whole family enjoys.
