WW More Dance Pictures

Hey guys still a lot going on right now, but didn't know if you were still interested in some more dance/recital pictures that I have.

Dance Pictures 2016

Hi guys - I know I haven't posted a "personal" post in awhile. I've been super busy lately. One reason is I got a part time job. I started back in April and it is a pretty good office job. It may only last til July, but it would be super cool if it turned permanent.

Another reason is my daughter's dance recital was last week and that is a week long process and then right after that we had tickets to this show she wanted to see. (which was for her birthday) And it was in Washington DC. So we went to that. Now I'm back but with this part time job- I don't have as much time for my blog as I used to.

Anyway here's a few dance pictures and will post more pics soon and maybe to this show we went to also.

she also got the 5 yr award. She has been actually dancing for 11 yrs, but we switched dance places over the years so this year was the first time she actually got an award!

WW Dance 2015 Recap

My daughter's dance recital was last week. Basically Tue-Sat is rehearsals, dress rehearsal and 2 shows. 

I didn't get as many pictures of my daughter during the actual behind the scenes stuff like I usually do, because she didn't really want me too. I snuck this one while her and some others for her class were practicing before they went on:

Preview Dance Costumes

This past weekend was spent getting daughter's pictures taken professionally for the dance program. For the recital that is in May. So 4 costume changes and two days and multiple hours were involved.

I will get those pictures at recital. Here is preview of costumes with some pictures I took myself.

Applause Applause Applause

As I mentioned previously - my daughter's dance recital was last week - basically Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday we were at the High School for rehearsals and the shows.This year the main title of the show was Applause, Applause, Applause!

Work It!

Today begins the week long events of the Dance Recital. Literally from today til Saturday night - we'll be busy between the rehearsals and 2 shows! I'm usually exhausted by the end of this - and I'm not even the one dancing! 

Here is the group photo of my daughter's hip - hop class (she is standing 1st one far left). It's called "Work It" I found a Missy Elliot song called that - so it's probably to that along with if like last year - they actually mix like 3-4 songs together!

Dance Costumes

This year my daughter is taking 3 dance classes! Every year she seems to add one more, somehow. She finally seems to be recuperating from her ankle/foot injury. And was able to participate in "Picture Day."

Which is when the photographer comes in and takes individual/group photos of all the dance classes. The recital is in May - and the main theme is revolving around The Sound of Music!

WW #62 "Dance Recital"

My daughter's dance recital was on Saturday the 27th. She did an awesome job on her dance. She took Hip/Hop for the first time this year. The recital's theme was songs from movies. Her song I guess was from the movie "Cars" and was called "The cars that go boom." Her class did a really cool Hip/Hop dance to it.

The Cars That Go Boom

Any one ever heard of this song in the above video? It's called "The Cars That Go Boom." It's by a group called Prima J. I guess this song is a remake. It's got a catchy beat.

The only reason I even care about this song is my daughter is taking Hip-Hop classes this year. This is her first year taking that. Other years she has taken ballet, tap and jazz classes. She really likes hip-hop now though.

So this years recital's theme is "Movies." I guess this song was in one of the "Fast and Furious" movies. I had never heard this song before or Prima J either. This song cracks me up and I can't wait to see my daughter's recital to see them dance to this song. I'll have to wait awhile since the recital isn't until June.

Her class is already practicing though. So every week we get to hear this song at her class.

WW - 15 "Dance Recital"

Hope you're not sick of pics. of my daughter, Here's some of her in her costume for her recent dance recital. The theme was "Working" and her class danced to Bruce Springsteen's "Working on the Highway"
