Dance Pictures 2016

Hi guys - I know I haven't posted a "personal" post in awhile. I've been super busy lately. One reason is I got a part time job. I started back in April and it is a pretty good office job. It may only last til July, but it would be super cool if it turned permanent.

Another reason is my daughter's dance recital was last week and that is a week long process and then right after that we had tickets to this show she wanted to see. (which was for her birthday) And it was in Washington DC. So we went to that. Now I'm back but with this part time job- I don't have as much time for my blog as I used to.

Anyway here's a few dance pictures and will post more pics soon and maybe to this show we went to also.

WW Dance 2015 Recap

My daughter's dance recital was last week. Basically Tue-Sat is rehearsals, dress rehearsal and 2 shows. 

I didn't get as many pictures of my daughter during the actual behind the scenes stuff like I usually do, because she didn't really want me too. I snuck this one while her and some others for her class were practicing before they went on:

Preview Dance Costumes

This past weekend was spent getting daughter's pictures taken professionally for the dance program. For the recital that is in May. So 4 costume changes and two days and multiple hours were involved.

I will get those pictures at recital. Here is preview of costumes with some pictures I took myself.

Applause Applause Applause

As I mentioned previously - my daughter's dance recital was last week - basically Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday we were at the High School for rehearsals and the shows.This year the main title of the show was Applause, Applause, Applause!

Dance Costumes

This year my daughter is taking 3 dance classes! Every year she seems to add one more, somehow. She finally seems to be recuperating from her ankle/foot injury. And was able to participate in "Picture Day."

Which is when the photographer comes in and takes individual/group photos of all the dance classes. The recital is in May - and the main theme is revolving around The Sound of Music!

Extra Curricular Activities

My daughter is involved in some extra curricular activities. She is doing Brownies, dance class, and piano lessons. And yesterday some of them collided all on the same day.

There was a half a day at school yesterday. So right after school her Brownie troop went on a field trip to the local News Station. They had a tour of the news station and got to meet some of the people from the news. They had a good time.

After that was done she returned home just in time to get ready for her dance class. We went to the dance class. We returned home around 5:45. Just in time to eat some dinner and then get ready for the next activity!

Her music class at school was able to play the recorder during the Christmas concert last night. Remember 3rd grade when you had to learn the recorder? Well her class actually got to play 3 songs during the school concert last night. It was so cute seeing the kids play the recorder. They all did a great job. And at short notice. They don't usually have the 3rd graders in the concert but for some reason the 5th grade couldn't perform in it, so they needed to add something to the concert. So they had the 3rd graders in it. They only had like 2 weeks practice. And they did a great job! They played a Partridge in a Fig trees. No wait it's Partridge in a pear tree.

So she had a very busy day yesterday. She loves doing all the extra curricular activities. Hopefully they won't all be on the same day again though!
