Do You Worry about privacy online?

With everybody doing more and more online, privacy issues are becoming more relevant. Do you worry about your privacy on online venues?

I know there was a big deal about Instagram recently. A lot of people deleted their accounts. I don't do Instagram, because you need an iPhone or something right? So I don't have that, so I guess I don't have to worry about that anyway.

I think there should be more Privacy Laws inTechnology though. Don't you? I mean I just heard something on the news, that I thought was kinda disturbing. They said something like, not only can new employers look at your facebook account, but they can actually go into your account profile. And they won't even need a password. I mean I think it's ok if they look at your public information. But if you have something that you specifically want private, it should be kept private.

Do you agree there needs to be more laws about all this? I put pictures on facebook, Twitter, and I guess my blog. So you are vulnerable to anyone using your photos, etc. But I think you should be protected somehow against all of this online. I'm no expert on any of this, but the people who are should really fix some of these issues soon!

  1. I do worry to a degree, but I guess I am aware in the back of my mind that anything I put out there can be hacked or stolen, so I don't put anything out there that I wouldn't want ANYONE to have access to.

  2. I agree with Masshole mommy. I worry a bit, but I grew up with the internet (I'm in my 20s) and have been trained my whole life to be careful what i put up in the first place.

  3. I'm 64 and I do worry or at least I take good care of what I put on the internet. I go on the assumption that what ever I put on, someone else could see it.
