Ozeri INSTAVAC Green Earth Food Storage Container Set Review

Product received free for review.

Hi readers! I am kinda behind on a lot of reviews. Because my computer is basically not working right now. It is being fixed and could be another week before I get it back. I am working on my son's laptop, when he lets me. - lol.

Well anyway, I want to tell you today about a product I got awhile ago. It is called the Ozeri INSTAVAC Green Earth Food Storage Container Set (pictured below:)

Here is some product info for you:

  • Instant vacuum freshness without pumps, motors or confusing parts. Simply press down on the center of the lid and air is forced out through the one-way valve. Requires minimal effort.
  • Patented valve easily removes excess air so growth of naturally occurring bacteria is greatly reduced, and food stays fresh longer. Also features a release valve that prevents spills, splatters, and bursting when used in microwaves.
  • Wave pattern on bottom of each container keeps cut fruit and vegetables elevated from water and juices.
  • Handy date dial allows you to record when food was first stored and monitor days kept in the refrigerator.
  • BPA-free, stain-resistant, shatter-proof, and as transparent as glass. Freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. Satisfaction guaranteed.

My review:

These containers are a very sturdy plastic. That is the first thing I noticed about them. They also fit one into the other - I guess it's called nesting (comes with 4 diff. size containers). I like that about them too, because I have limited storage space in my kitchen.

We are always having leftovers of some sorts around here and my husband usually takes them to work for lunch, during the week. So it is nice to have storage containers that can go from freezer, microwave to dishwasher! I am a freak about not using safe plastic containers in the microwave, so it is really important and great that that the INSTAVAC containers are BPA-free.

I also like that these containers are very clear (clear as glass) that way you can see what you have stored in them. How often do you freeze something & can't see what it is or remember what's in there? And the date dial on these also is really nice. You can set the date you stored the food in there, that way you know how long it is still good for.

Another thing that is unique about them is that you can get an vacuum seal on these with minimal effort. You just press down on the center of the container and keep pressing down, and that gets out all the air. Here is a picture of the valve that you keep closed to keep air in & then open to release (if using in microwave.)

It is so easy to push out the air that even my daughter was able to do it. So these will really come in handy for keeping fresh fruits and vegetables longer! I really love these storage containers and think you will too!
