Spend the Holidays in Branson

Every year in my house there is a debate on what we are going to do for the holidays. It starts before Thanksgiving and into Christmas, maybe even New Years. Should we stay home? Should we go to your mother's house, my mother's house or my sister's house? And eventually we decide whose house to go to and then try to make it up later to the one we didn't go to.

Someday I would really like to skip all the drama. One way to solve that would be to take a vacation somewhere over the holidays. Then we wouldn't have to go to anyone's house. One great place that would be nice to visit is the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel.

These hotels have some great packages to choose from too. There are four packages, including, Thanksgiving Package, It’s a Wonderful Life Package, Santa’s Coming to Town Package or the New Years’ Eve Package. There are also a lot of great nearby attractions to see, on your stay, to get you in the holiday spirit. Such as light displays, parades, shows and old time nostalgia created in Branson!

I'd really love to go and stay at one of these hotels where they have great hospitality. And Branson has great entertainment available and world-class dining. This sounds like a great way to spend the holidays!

Let's Make Easter Eggs

Every year my kids like to decorate Easter eggs, especially my daughter. I buy the eggs and supplies you need to make them. And my husband boils the eggs, because I am no good at doing that part! And the kids do the decorating.

One thing you should remember when making the eggs, is to add some vinegar then the dye, it makes the colors come out brighter. Another thing I learned from doing them last year was to buy these plastic containers for the dying - see picture above. Because last year I ended up having to throw away some of my bowls, because the dye wouldn't come out!

It's a great activity to do with the kids, and a great tradition to do every Easter. I guess we'll be eating hard boiled eggs, deviled eggs, or egg salad for a while. Hope every one has a Happy Easter!

Happy Valentines Day

This is a "card" I made on a cool website I found the other day Hallmark Smilebox. You can make cards and either send them in emails or post it to your blog!



You have to download the software. And then you can make all kinds of cards. The basic package is free to use. As far as I can see the only thing you can't do for free is print them. But I don't really care about that.



I like to send my Mom, Mother-in-law, etc., e-cards, and this is even better, because you can personalize them with your own photos!
