The Pencil Grips #Review and #Giveaway (three winners)

Hey everyone. Did you know today is National Handwriting day? That is why I thought it would be a perfect time to tell you about a product I recently received. They are called Pencil Grips, from the company,The Pencil Grip, Inc.

do you remember my previous post about Kwik Stix? well this is from the same company.

Here is a shot of everything I got in the mail:

Some info about it;

The Pencil Grip guides children and adults in proper hand positioning. It also promotes good penmanship and expression. They can also reduce hand cramps, stressed muscles and sore fingers.

My review:

I asked my daughter, who is still a student to test these out for me. And I was actually kind of surprised at how she holds a pen/pencil to write with. They sent me a chart of correct and incorrect handwriting positions. And my daughter holds it incorrectly, she holds it sort of like #5 on the list. You can view, download or print the chart by going here.

Included in the package I got is the 3-Step Training Kit, along with The pencil Grip User's Guide. Which is the Original Pencil Grip, Crossover Pencil Grip and the Pinch Grip, shown in the first picture above. If you use each in a 3 step process you can improve your handwriting.  First you should begin with The Crossover Grip for training. The wings will prevent fingers from crossing over. Then you can transition to the Pinch Grip. This balances structure with freedom. Finally, graduate with The Pencil Grip which provides comfort & control and is great for extended use.

I am hoping that my daughter will try the Pencil Grips for her school work. She says her fingers do hurt sometimes and even may have a callus on her middle finger from holding the pencil the wrong way. These grips address different challenges and help achieve a lifetime of comfort and control.

She also loves drawing and is taking an art class and is really getting interested in art and painting. So the Pencil grips are good for control while writing, drawing or even coloring.

I would really recommend this product to you. It is great for children, students, parents, homeschoolers, and adults too. oh and I just thought Teachers too!
