Friday Photo Flashback

September 11th is a day of remembrance. Remembering what happened this day 8 years ago is in many of our minds.

It also makes me remember loved ones I have lost. Not on Sept. 11th, but at other times. Thinking of my Dad on this day, who passed away in 1993. He was a Shriners Clown. He would do a lot of activities with the Shriners and also visited sick children in the hospital.

Here's a picture of him as a Clown. He went by the name of "Bows." He had a few different looks over the years. Taken around 1984.

Twilight Football

Football_skills

Wow did you just watch that video? How cool is that? I can not imagine getting in and playing ball with a bull. That is totally awesome.

This video ties into the event called Twilight Football. Which will be taking place on September 22, 2009.

It is sponsored by Sony and will be celebrating their latest low light filming technology. Seven football matches will be taking place at Twilight on September 22nd.

Each match will provide a challenge in settings and in low light photography conditions. This will be an interesting challenge for players and photographers alike.

The matches will take place in seven stunning locations. The locations are France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia and Africa. The Twilight football locations have all been chosen for their natural beauty, dramatic settings and stunning scenery. The finals will be in South Africa which is the host of the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Twilight Football is going to be one of the most talked about events of the year. I would like to keep track of this event and see what happens. And I want to keep up with the news on this event. If you would like more information on this also, then check out their website.

A Thousand Words Thursday

Even though the kids have been back to school for over a week, I'm having a hard time letting Summer go. It really went by fast. And on top of it we had kinda lousy weather this Summer. The news reported it was the 4th rainiest Summer in over a hundred years!

We had a some good weather though. And when I want to think of Summer I look at this picture of my daughter. We were at the sprinklers at the park, and her Grammy bought her an ice cream from the ice cream man. This is what happened:
