Takle It Tuesday - "Presents"

Here is a picture of a table runner, I finished. I may use this for my mother-in-law's birthday present. I'm getting ahead of the game this year. Her birthday is not until August. (excuse the wrinkle look, still have to iron this.)



I also want to get ahead on making any Christmas presents this year. So I started this to give to someone for Christmas. Believe me this is way out of character for me to be doing this, this advanced!

A Different Kind of Social Network Site

I just joined a new Social Network site called acobay. This is a consumer network, where members can connect with other members through their "stuff."

On acobay members can add stuff to their account and then connect with other members who share the same stuff. Listed is anything from cars, computers, cell phones and more. You can look at other's reviews on everything from music, games and a lot more.

You can even talk about your blog under the "Anything" category. The more stuff you add the more people you will connect with. Which could benefit you in the long run. You can also start discussions with other members on your common interests. Here is a link to my "stuff page," I have just gotten started on acobay so there isn't much showing yet. But I've already connected with 18 people in a short amount of time.

Only One Car

My husband's car, a 1998 Hyundai, with over 100,000 miles on it, has not been running right for at least a week. The check engine light came on and has been sitting in our garage since then.

He tried to look it over, but cars are not what they used to be. They rely on computers more, so my husband can't fix them like he used to. So we will have to bring it somewhere to have it fixed.

Which, right now I don't have the money for. So my husband has been taking the other car to work, which leaves me without a car. But the good news is I already e-filed my taxes. And should be getting my tax return soon. So we will be able to use that money to fix the car. I just hope it doesn't cost that much. And I hope his car lasts awhile longer after that.
