Friday Photo Flashback #3

I'm really enjoying this meme. Because it is bringing back all kinds of memories for me. Thanks Alicia from More Than Words for hosting this meme.

I have been looking through old photo albums. This week I was looking through an album that was my Grandmother's. She was a great picture taker. And always recorded dates, names and all kinds of info. on the back of her pictures.

This is a picture of a house that was in my family for almost 100 yrs. This was taken in 1918. It originally belonged to my Great Grandparents, then my Grandparents lived there, and when I was first married I even lived there for 5 years. Unfortunately when my grandmother died, we had to sell this house (along with over 7 acres of land.) My family has a lot of memories of this place, it is bittersweet for me to think about it.

Cooking School Weekend in Branson

Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is having a Cooking School Weekend on October 16 and October 17.

When guests arrive they will be greeted with a Wine Tasting Reception. After that they will be treated to a cooking demonstration by the hotels very own chef, Nathan Read. The next morning he will teach the participants how to prepare the appetizers that were served at the Wine Tasting Reception the night before.

Then on Saturday night guests will get to experience a lavish 4 course meal. The dinner will also be served with the appropriate wines. The next morning guests will then learn how to prepare the featured meal.

This is perfect timing. This is great for the upcoming holidays. Guests can learn how to prepare these meals in order to be the perfect host or hostess for the holidays. This is a one of a kind package. The package is for 2 people and is only $398 plus tax for both nights. Also included in this package are deluxe accommodations at the Hilton Branson Convention Center.

And while your in Branson, you could also check out everything else they have to offer. There is shopping, theaters, boutiques, restaurants, and even a championship golf course.
