Aloha Friday/Friday Follow!!

Happy Aloha Friday

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Today is the last day for Harriet's Comment Challenge for April. I was intending to make 1000 comments on other people's blogs by the end of the month. I think I'm going to fall a little short. I would have made it, if not for the fact that this week has been my kids school vacation. So I have had limited time on the computer this week.

My Question: So my question is how many comments do you make on average on blogs. Do you think per day/week/month. (any or all of these?)

Today is also Friday Follow. If you follow me - I super promise to follow you back. Hope you have a great weekend!♥

Humane Solutions For Critter Problems

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Woodstream. All opinions are 100% mine.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love nature. And how much I love wildlife. I would do anything to protect them.

But sometimes wildlife can be a nuisance. Animals may even damage your property.  Have you ever had this problem? Anything from squirrels eating your birdseed, or raccoons getting in your trash cans. Or even rabbits eating your garden?

I have actually had this problem or know people who have. I have certainly had squirrels on my bird feeders. Which can be very annoying. And I remember growing up my neighbor had a raccoon problem. She had a bunch of raccoons that would come to her yard. And this was starting to get not only annoying but a little dangerous. As we both had outdoor cats, we were concerned with their safety. My mother even had a rabbit problem the past few years. She has spent a lot of money on her flower garden, only to have some rabbits eat her plants.

Well now I found a great solution of these problems. It is the Havahart Easy Set Large Animal Trap  and the Havahart Easy Set Small Animal Trap. These traps are great for trapping raccoons, stray cats, groundhogs, squirrels, etc. These traps are so easy to use. They can set and released with one hand. This is the humane way to solve a pest problem. You can trap the animals and then release them to a different location. For more information on how to safely trap animals, please read the Animal Trapping Tips. There is some great tips on how to use these traps and to take care of your critter problems.

HairCoverings.com Review & Giveaway

I was recently sent a really cute hat from HairCoverings.com to review. Here's me wearing it:

I was really excited about getting this hat, because I love wearing them. When I take my daughter to the bus stop I usually wear one. They come in really handy when I'm camping. And as shown in the picture above, I even decided to wear it on  Sunday, when we went to the park.

I love this hat, because not only does it fit very nicely (stretchy in the back/one size fits most), but it is very stylish. I love the  plaid look, colors and flowers on it. A lot more styling then my usual baseball cap.

CSN Store Review

Remember recently I said I was going to do a reivew for CSN Stores? Well I received the products last Friday! And if you have been eargley awaiting my review then wait no more.

When I was asked to pick out a kitchen product from CSN Stores, I had an idea of what I wanted. Then I asked my husband what he would want. And we pretty much had the same idea.

So we got some frying pans! You see my husband really likes to cook and was excited to get these   Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10" and 12" Omelet Combo Set.

Information about Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10" and 12" Omelet Combo Set:

* Nonstick surface makes cleanup easy and promotes low-fat and non-fat cooking
* Versatile vessel shape that accommodates several different cooking techniques
* Thick, wide bottom for quick, even heating with little or no oils
* Sloping sides allow food to glide freely from the pan to your plate
* Long handle stays cool on the stovetop for hours of comfortable cooking
* Oven safe up to 450 degrees

Specifications:

* Material of pan: Hard-anodized exterior and nonstick interior
* Material of handle: Stainless steel
* Not dishwasher safe
* Recommended utensils: Nylon, wood or coated
* Lifetime Warranty
* Made in the USA

My take on Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10" and 12" Omelet Combo Set:

These pans are awesome! My husband and I have been cooking everything in them. From eggs, to grilled cheese sandwiches (my husband pictured below cooking a grilled cheese) to hamburgers.

Everything has been coming out great in the pans. They are non-stick so you barely need to add oil or anything, which is more healthy. And everything slides right out of them. And what my husband and I also noticed is how easy they are to clean. Just rinse and wipe and they are clean! So easy! We are really loving our new frying pans from CSN Stores!

Disclaimer: I received the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10" and 12" Omelet Combo Set  at no charge to me from CSN Stores, for the sole purpose to review them. Receiving the complementary set in no way effected my review.

Aloha Friday/Friday Follow

Aloha Friday Corona

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My Question: Do you have any fears? What's your biggest fear?

My Answer: I know my daughter's. Bees! We have the huge 'fuzzy' bumblebees flying around here lately and when ever she sees one she screams bloody blue murder. Mine may me public speaking. I remember always being scared to death in school when I had to do an oral report or something.

Thursday Thirteen #36

Visit Thursday Thirteen for more participants.

I am not really a huge fan of the show "60 Minutes." But sometimes I catch the end of it. I get a kick out of Andy Rooney. I love his little observations.

Here are 13 quotes by Andy Rooney. (I can hear him saying these in his funny voice)

1. Anyone who watches golf on television would enjoy watching the grass grow on the greens.
2.  Computers make it easier to do a lot of things, but most of the things they make it easier to do don't need to be done.
3. Computers may save time but they sure waste a lot of paper. About 98 percent of everything printed out by a computer is garbage that no one ever reads.
4. I didn't get old on purpose, it just happened. If you're lucky, it could happen to you.
5. Making duplicate copies and computer printouts of things no one wanted even one of in the first place is giving America a new sense of purpose.
6. The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
7. Vegetarian - that's an old Indian word meaning lousy hunter.
8. I'd like to be rich enough so I could throw soap away after the letters are worn off
9. If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it.
10. Happiness depends more on how life strikes you than on what happens.
11. Elephants and grandchildren never forget.
12. People will generally accept facts as truth only if the facts agree with what they already believe.
13. The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.

WW #104 "My Garden"

Every year I plant a garden. Last year I even grew one awesome sunflower (if anyone recalls that.) I have pretty much always bought the plants already grown. And I usually run around trying to find them at different stores.

But this year my husband and I decided to try to grow the plants our selves from seeds. Not only will this save us time in running all around trying to find them, but money too! I hope it works out. So far it's looking good.

Here are some zucchini!

Here is both cherry tomatoes and big boy tomatoes:

I'm also growing some more sunflowers and some marigolds.

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My Question: Do you have a dishwasher or do you do the dishes by hand?

My Answer: Yes, that is one of my requirements - lol. But unfortunately, for the past 3 days it hasn't been working right. And with my husband's plumbing skills I'm worried it may be done for. Keep your fingers crossed.

Find Luxurious Apartments in Your Area

Have you tried searching for any Luxury Condos in your area lately? If you have you may have found it can be a daunting task. Maybe you had a hard time finding a good website?

Well I just came across a great website. It is called Luxury Apartment Shop. If you have ever searched for apartments or condos at all you may not of liked other websites. Because they may not have been easy to navigate. Or maybe the listings don't have enough photos. Sometimes you may not be able to find enough listings in your area.

That is not the case on Luxury Apartment Shop. I just searched for some apartments in my area. I was pleased with how easy the website was to navigate. I just entered my zip code and found many listings in my area. If I ever do move, I really would like to stay in the same area. Especially because of my kids schooling. So it is nice to know that there are some options out there. It is always good to be prepared, in case you need it.

And it was nice to see that I was allowed to search and sort out the listings. I could sort the listings by different criteria. Such as amenities, price or location. I also found some great links on the website too. Some very useful information on Fair Housing Initiatives. If you  need more information on that you should check it out!

Thursday Thirteen #35

Here are Thirteen Things that are making me question my sanity (and or the sanity of others):

1. I just gave my daughter $4.00 in change to buy a book at her book fair. Mostly nickles. Is that so wrong?

2. My daughter and I spent over an hour and a half the other day driving around to at least 5 different stores  -  looking for a "baby" Zhu Zhu pet. Everywhere is out of stock right now.

3. Against my better judgment we are getting closer to getting a puppy. My husband knows someone, who knows someone, whose dog is pregnant right now. So we may be able to get one of the puppies.

4. I spend way to much time on line. Between blogs and Entrecard. And Facebook. I don't know if that is helping keep my sanity or make me insane?

5. I am doing Harriet's Comment Challenge again. I haven't done one in almost 9 months. I'm trying to make 1000 comments on other people's blogs in a month. I'm up to 177 (as you can see up top on my ticker).

6. I've been looking for a part time job. So far no luck. One emailed back and wanted me to come in for an interview. Only problem it was in Alabama & I live in New Hampshire!

7. Even if I get a job, I will either have to work nights or take the bus. Which doesn't sound to fun.  That is because we only have one car available right now (long story).

8. I just found out yesterday, that what they call at my daughter's school "The Ed Fair" is tonight. Whatever happened to advance notice?

9. Thursdays is the day my daughter has dance class though, so I basically have about a 15 min. time period where I have to run around her school to go to this fair.

10. Speaking of the dance class, I found out that the recital was moved to a different location and a week earlier then it was before.

11. My sister usually comes with her boyfriend. But we looked on the calender and it will now be on Father's Day! It doesn't really matter to me. But her boyfriend won't come on Father's day. Seems weird to schedule the recital for that day.

12. If you read these two posts Here & Here you would know about a bird I found in my neighbors yard about a week ago. Turns out it was a $600 bird someone lost. I wish I had caught it!

Pic. of bird again:

13. I just spent 3 hours writting this post! Enough said. Now I'm off to visit others - so I can reach my 1000 comment goal.

Visit other Thursday Thirteen participants too! Go here: http://thursday-13.com/
