Looking at the Sky on Friday

Yesterday, after dinner, my daughter went out to ride her bike. Before she left she said it was raining. It had just started and only lasted for a few minutes. The sun then came out.

A few minutes later my daughter came running back in the house. And was yelling, "Mommy come quick, grab your camera. There's a rainbow outside!" She was all excited. I panicked and ran around crazy trying to find my camera.

Luckily I found it and got these pictures! I took about 10 pictures but I think these two came out the best. Which doesn't really do the rainbow justice, it was a full arc one. And was so bright. It is hard to really capture, but I tried. I love rainbows!

My daughter drew this picture of a rainbow for her art class. This is is a yearly fundraiser they do at her school. The kids draw a picture and then you can purchase it on various products. Like I'm going to get it on a coffee mug and a tote bag. They also have t-shirts, calendars, etc.

Photo Hunters (11) 129 "View"

Today's Photo Hunters theme is "view." This was the "view" from my house this summer. After a rain storm the sun came out. I happened to go outside and look up to see this beautiful rainbow. These pictures don't do it justice.

I was lucky to see two rainbows this summer. On two different occasions I got a "view" of a rainbow. After not seeing one in years, I couldn't believe when I saw two in one summer.
