Mellow Yellow Monday

On some walks around my neighborhood saw all these Yellow & Purples. The big purple bush is even in my own yard. Even took a few of these with my cell phone. Hope you are enjoying the Spring Colors where you are!

Fire hydrants when I was growing up I think were always red. Well I guess times have changed. My city recently painted all the fire hydrants this way:




Not sure if it was necessary or the reasoning behind these colors. But it makes for some pretty fire hydrants.

Mellow Yellow Monday #21

I know every year Christmas starts earlier and earlier. But it kind of still bugs me to see it. I took this picture (with my cell phone), the week before Halloween. My son and I were in the store buying his costume. And the Halloween candy was being pushed aside for the Christmas candy, and decorations.

Oh well, it makes for a pretty picture. Yellow Carmel Popcorn and other Halloween candy, and red and green Christmas decorations.

I took this picture at a place called Mill Pond. My daughter noticed this yellow tree. And that I could get a good shot of it by going under this bridge. I was hunched down underneath the bridge, but it was worth it because I like how this came out.

My daughter went to a fair called the "Deerfield Fair" a couple of weeks ago. She went with her 4th grade class on a field trip. I let her take an old camera so she could take some pictures on her own. She took some pretty good pictures.

This is one of a prize winning sunflower. Look how huge this sunflower is! I'm not sure how big it is or anything, but that is awesome! It looks like a winner to me.

Here are a few shots of some sunflowers. In the field where we went apple picking a few weeks ago, there were lots of sunflowers growing. I would love to have this many growing in my yard too.

I'm starting to get an obsession with sunflowers. I just love them, and I'm defiantly going to grow more next year. I even have my sister wanting to grow some in her yard.

Although we didn't have it as much as I would have liked this Summer. I do love it though. Especially from my favorite farm, that I have been going to ever since I was a little girl with my Grandmother.

When I want to get happy I look at my sunflower. Only 4 days after I took last week's Mellow Yellow pictures, I took some more. And this is what my sunflower looks like:

Call me crazy, but every time I water it or just go out to look at it, I feel good. I never grew sunflowers before. Next year I want to grow some more!

A touch of yellow! Here is a shot of my sunflower, I'm growing. It is just starting to come out. I will get more shots of it when it fully comes out.






Here is a view of the whole thing, and how tall it is. I am excited about this sunflower. Because, my daughter actually grew it from a seed back in May with her Brownie Troop.

A cute yellow dragon. He was purchased at least 3 years ago. Last year he went missing. He was found again deflated and somewhat dirty in a cellar closet.

A little girl is happy now that her yellow dragon was found again!

But wait. Here are two kids who are happy to play on the lonely bumble bee. (or maybe someone made them get on there so they could get a picture?)

Despite the month of June raining practically every day, there is life in my garden! Here is some flowers from my tomato plants. I'm starting to get some little tomatoes growing.

Mellow Yellow Monday

Whenever I go to a certain store, I always see a line of taxi cabs in the parking lot. I guess they use this parking lot as their stopping point. They always seem to be just hanging around. I guess business is slow.

Also once again, I didn't have my regular camera. So I snapped this with my cell phone. It was also raining out!

This is my son's rubber duckie collection. He has received these from various places. Including, school, my husband, and even at the dentist. He keeps them on his desk.

Here's some flowers that are growing along a fence in my yard. Once again I am at a loss for what they are called. But they come up every year, and I actually get a bigger patch of them every year too.

And every year my husband threatens to mow them down with the lawn mower. I guess because they are in his mowing path.

We went to the beach on Saturday. We did some fishing, swimming and built some sandcastles. We even got a little too much sun!

I noticed after my daughter had built a sandcastle, all the yellow beach stuff we had. Here's a shot of some of our yellow beach stuff.

These are two little chairs. They are a little on the small side. But someone across the street from my mother was moving and put them out to the trash, or for anyone to take. So I rescued these. Even if they're a little small, I still think they're cute.

Below is every yard owners nightmare - dandelions. These were not in my yard though- but in a field near my daughter's school. They still look kind of pretty when there is a whole field of them. Since I took this picture, they have mowed the field up there.


Hope everyone has a Happy Memorial Day. I am off to the parade in a few minutes, my daughter is marching in it.

Mellow Yellow - Sign

Here is a nice yellow sign. These signs go all along the route to my daughter's school. There is a path that is safe for kids to walk or even bike ride to school on. So they are safe from cars, because a section of the road is reserved for walking or bike riding.

Mellow Yellow - #4

While on a walk around my neighborhood I spotted this beautiful bush, with yellow flowers on it. I didn't have my camera with me, but went back the next day to get some pictures. I always feel a little weird doing that outside someone's house, but Oh Well.
