I found out recently a girlfriend of mine is getting married in October. I bet she is trying to find some diamonds for the rings.
I found a great website called Blue Nile. They have over 70,000 diamonds to choose from. They are the largest online retailer of diamonds.
If you order a diamond before 3 pm, they will ship the loose diamond to you next day FedEX for free. And if you want the diamond in a setting it will be shipped within 2-3 days.
Blue Nile has terrific service, prices and selection. I think I better let my friend know about this website soon!

Early Christmas Present
I'm getting an early Christmas Present! I already know what my mother has gotten me for Christmas. And I think I will be getting it on Thanksgiving.
Remember when I talked about how I lost the diamond in my engagement ring? (See: I Lost My Diamond!) Well awhile back I was telling my mother what had happened. And I wanted to take it to the jewelers in my home town, because my mother has been going to them for years. And I would trust them with it. So my mother said to give her the ring and she would have it fixed for me.
She brought the ring in the the jewelers and they told her there is no fixing it. It was so old and broken that the diamond could not just be popped back in. And another thing that has been wrong for a long time is that the gold was really thin all around the ring.
So the only way was to get a whole new ring made! My mother called me and said she would be willing to get me a new ring made, but it would be my Christmas present. Fine by me! She also wanted to know my ring size. I had no idea, but knew the old ring was always way to big on me.
Tip: If you need your ring size go to Walmart or Target jewelry displays. And they can size your finger. Without any pressure to buy anything. That's what I did, I went to Walmart. That way I didn't have to feel weird going into some fancy jewelry place. And guess what? The ring I have been wearing for about 15 years was a size to big! I take a 7 and it was an 8!
So I'm really excited to see my new ring on Thanksgiving! And I'm really grateful to my mom for doing this for me! I also think everyday how lucky I really was that I found the diamond to begin with!

I Lost My Diamond!
A very scary thing happened to me last night! I lost the diamond in my engagement ring!
After supper and getting the kids to do their homework I sat down on the couch around 7 PM. I started to watch TV, when I looked down at my engagement ring and noticed the diamond was missing from my ring! I couldn't believe it and went into total panic mode.
Not only is my engagement ring worth money (I have no idea how much.) But it has great sentimental value. This ring was actually my Grandmother's engagement ring! She gave it to my husband (even a year before he even asked me to marry him), in order to give it to me when we got engaged. The ring must be at least, I'd say, 70 yrs. old!
In all truth, the ring has never fit me properly. It is to big for my finger, and is somewhat loose. I've always had a fear of it just flying off my finger and losing it that way. And over the years the gold has thinned on it and I feel like it might eventually break through. But I never thought the diamond would just fall out!
To make a long story short,(or longer - ha-ha) I did find the diamond 3 hours later! After searching every room on my hands and knees for 3 hours, I found it! I didn't really go out of the house yesterday, except to my daughter's dance class. So that was the only other place I thought it could be (I was calling there this morning if I didn't find it.) But I found it outside my son's room in the hallway! Thank God. I was very upset about it!
But now I have to go get it fixed somewhere. I have no idea where to take it. And I have no idea how much this is going to cost. But I'm just happy I found it!
