5 Ways to Beat Exhaustion

Being exhausted can have you feeling like you’re trapped in an endless loop of lethargy. In order to break the loop and beat exhaustion for good, you need to make wiser choices regarding your health, lifestyle and food preferences. Often, the simplest measures can work best to beat exhaustion overall.

Here are 5 of the best ways to stop feeling so tired all the time.

Stay Active

Exercise and fitness may be the last thing on your mind when you’re feeling exhausted – or, it may seem counterproductive if you’re looking to have more energy. However, regular exercise can help to boost your motivation and enable you to feel more alert. There’s a reason why a morning workout is a good idea, as it wakes you up and means that you can start the day feeling fresher. The less exercise you do and the less you move throughout the day, the more sluggish and tired you’ll feel.

Get the Right Nutrients

A great way to feel more energized is to ensure that you’re getting the right ingredients in your diet. Vitamins and nutrients are essential for feeling more alert and less tired. Solutions such as mobile iv therapy can make sure you get the right nutrients tailored to your energy needs.

A healthy diet overall goes a long way regarding your motivation levels. Unhealthy, greasy foods can leave you feeling more lethargic and less likely to want to get up and move about.

Maintain a Healthy Weight

You don’t have to be morbidly overweight for extra weight to take its toll on you. If you’re carrying an unhealthy amount of weight for your size, this means that the extra weight you’re carrying around is resulting in more energy being consumed. The extra weight also puts a strain on your body, meaning you’re more likely to feel tired. In contrast, maintaining a healthy weight means you will feel more energized.

You can always check your optimum weight based on your BMI to know what you are aiming for.

Make Sure You’re Getting Enough Sleep

You may think that you’re already getting enough sleep, yet you always find yourself feeling tired. It could be that you’re in bed for the necessary number of hours, but your sleep might be interrupted or light. Different people work best on varying amounts of sleep, so it’s important to understand how much sleep you personally need. If you always feel tired, try getting an extra few hours of sleep and see if this makes a difference.

Also, make sure you eliminate any distractions, have a peaceful and comfortable place to sleep, and avoid looking at technology right before you go to bed.

Cut Down on Alcohol

Drinking alcohol in the evening will result in you having a lighter sleep, even if it helps you to fall asleep quicker. Alcohol prevents your body from falling into a deep, comfortable sleep. Cutting down on alcohol means you will be able to get a better night’s sleep and therefore feel less exhausted.

4 Mistakes You Should Avoid at all Costs When Starting a Home-Based Business

Starting a home-based business is a dream for many and could be your ticket to financial independence. The issue, however, is that many have a romanticised idea of what it means to work from home and don’t understand some of the challenges and responsibilities that come with it. But those who will be able to learn from the mistakes of others and draw a solid plan before they make the jump will always have an edge. Here are some of the mistakes you should avoid when starting a home-based business.

Not Considering Alternative Funding Options

A lot of people who start businesses from home will wrongly assume that nobody will be willing to lend them money. But that’s not true, even if you don’t have the best credit. There are plenty of services that will allow you to get no guarantor loans that won’t require that you get a co-signer, even with a low credit score. These loans will usually be on the smaller side but could be more than enough to buy supplies, set up your website, or pay for advertising.

Letting Fear Limit You

A lot of people have great ideas for starting a business, but they are letting fear paralyse them. Some may be terrified of making a phone call and selling their service. Others might think that no one would want to do business with someone who’s unproven. But little do they know that some would love nothing more than to help people who are just getting started. Sometimes, all you need is one person in your corner to sing your praises for your business to take off, so keep on trying.

Not Asking for Advice

Another thing you should not be afraid of is asking for help. There is a quasi-infinite number of resources out there, and if you’re trying to build a business, chances are that there’s a coach or a course on it somewhere.
Look for courses, coaching, and mentoring opportunities, and check what people had to say about them. These people have been there and done that and could allow you to avoid roadblocks before you have to face them. Working with the right people could accelerate your progress in ways you could never imagine and help you avoid costly mistakes that could end up sinking your business before it sets sail.

Waiting Until Everything is Just Right

At the other end of the spectrum, you also shouldn’t wait until everything is perfect to get started. You don’t need to have the perfect professional website to start selling your services. You don’t need to spend thousands on a perfect wardrobe to start working as a consultant. And it’s okay if your first product has a few kinks and errors. There is no such thing as a perfect formula, and sometimes, all you need is the courage to make the jump and improve your craft as you go.

Starting a business from home can be exciting, but it’s also a serious step in your life. This could be the difference between you becoming a successful entrepreneur or getting disillusioned. So make sure you follow these few tips and learn as much as you can before you make the move.

Why Hiring a Licensed Electrician is Important

In today’s world there seems to be a lot of pressure to do-it-yourself. Individuals, social media and even big box companies promote the mentality that many home improvement jobs can be done on your own. While this may be true for inherently safe jobs such as painting, electrical work generally should not be attempted on your own. Here are some reasons why hiring a licensed electrician is important.

Permits and Inspections

Any time you have a project that involves getting a permit and having routine inspections, it’s a good idea to hire a licensed electrician Myrtle Beach. A licensed electrician will be knowledgeable about current code requirements and if there ends up being something wrong with the wiring, it’s up to them to correct the problem – not you.

Serious Consequences

If you paint a room poorly or hang the cabinet hardware slightly crooked, the consequences aren’t life-threatening. However, incorrect wiring can be dangerous and even deadly. If you’re looking to save money, consider tackling the home improvement projects that fall under the benign category instead of deadly.

Quality Work

While it may seem simple to hang some wires, install a ceiling fan or add GFCI outlets or generators, it’s better to hire a licensed electrician that has a greater knowledge about electricity. You don’t want to find out that the additional wires you added are overloading the circuit. Additionally, an incorrectly installed ceiling fan can cause serious damage.

Warranty

If you’re looking to hire a licensed electrician, it’s smart to ask if they offer any type of warranty on their work. A good electrical company typically has a strong online presence and you’ve likely heard of the services they offer. Be sure to do some research before hiring an electrician to make sure their knowledgeable about the type of work you need to have performed.

Service Philosophy

Even though you may wish to handle an electrical project on your own, there are excellent licensed electricians available that make your next home improvement project less stressful. Hire an electrician that offers quality work, employees that have been background checked, and convenient services and payment options.

Even though it’s tempting to try and handle electrical work on your own, consider the safety and reliability that comes from hiring a licensed electrician. If permits and inspections are involved, hire an electrician. Once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to avoid serious consequences, enjoy quality work, take advantage of warranties and appreciate an excellent service philosophy.

How to Ensure You're Looking After Yourself After Receiving the Wrong Prescription

The dispensing chemist at a hospital, medical clinic or inside a shop is responsible for providing the correct medication for a prescription. When a mistake is made and it’s not spotted in time, it results in the patient being issued and taking incorrect medicine.
Most medicine has side effects when taken correctly but when the wrong medicine is issued, the outcome is less than certain. Sometimes, there’s little change that comes from it and other times it’s possible to have a strong adverse reaction to it.
In this article, we consider how to take care of yourself after getting the wrong medication.

Consider Whether the Chemist is Negligent

It depends on both the seriousness of the error and the negative consequences of having taken the wrong medication as to what compensation might be possible.
When the prescription was completed correctly then the mistake is on the part of the chemist (assuming the right medication was in the correct box from the manufacturer).
Dispensing errors are a real hazard. People have died from being given the incorrect medication before. So, it’s a serious matter even if a chemist looks to dismiss it as ‘minor’. It’s not.
If you feel that the medical consequences for you were pretty bad, then you may want to think about compensation for their mistake. Check the-medical-negligence-experts.co.uk website to learn if you can make a case in the UK.

Talk to Your Local G.P. Urgently

Make an appointment with your doctor. See them the same day and go into the surgery to impress upon them that you need a same day appointment.
Explain the circumstances and any side effects that you’re currently experiencing. Let the staff speak to the G.P. in between his or her booked appointments to gauge the doctor’s level of concern. They may fit you in to see them right away or advise that you visit the A&E at the local hospital. You can also call 111 to get advice from the NHS directly too.
If you cannot get to see the doctor, attend the hospital if you feel that your health is a concern at this point.

Avoid Driving or Drinking

If you’re unsure how the medication may affect you, it’s sensible to avoid driving in case it makes you drowsy, dizzy or gives you vertigo. Take public transport or a taxi until the half-life of the medicine has passed. The doctor can advise you how long the half-life is expected to be.
Also, don’t consume alcohol while on the wrong medication. Many prescribed medications deliver different, strong side effects when mixed with alcohol. Therefore, abstain from drinking while the medicine is still active in your system.

If you feel the need, take time off work until you feel better. Explain to your employer what has happened and they’re sure to understand because it wasn’t through any fault of your own. Slow your life down to only carry out the necessary actions and defer everything else until a later time. This allows you the time to take care of yourself, focus on how you’re feeling, and rest up.

4 Ways To Feel Happier At Work

It probably feels as though you spend the majority of your life at work, and long hours and hard work can make you feel utterly exhausted. Feeling happier at work involves learning practices that keep you calm, productive, and alert. These include staying organized, sticking to deadlines, getting enough sleep, not eating sugary snacks at work, and knowing how to ensure that your work environment benefits for you.
Feel happier at work by giving the following tips a go.
Avoid Discomfort
It’s never worth being physically uncomfortable at work, and you could end up with serious damage if you’re not sitting correctly for hours on end. When it comes to seating, it should be ergonomic and save you from hunching, stooping, and straining your eyes.
It helps to know that you’re safe at work and that the likelihood of accidents and incidents happening is low. Avoiding injury and harm at work should be one of your employer’s principal focuses, so if you’re concerned that health and safety levels are below the recommended standard, you should feel able to broach the topic with your boss. If you have been injured as a result of negligence, and you’re unsure of what your next step should be, then click here to find out more.
Ensure A Work-Life Balance
If you adore your job and enjoy working hard to achieve your goals, then it can be challenging to remember to allow yourself downtime to partake in activities with friends and families. If deadlines are getting you down and you’re beginning to feel as though you’re sinking, then it’s crucial to begin restoring the all-important work-life balance. Your mental health can be hugely affected if you’re not taking care of yourself in-between shifts and the usual workweek. It’s crucial to get enough sleep and to stay hydrated from dusk until dawn as well.
Know When Enough Is Enough
Waking up and dreading going to work is no way to start the day. If you feel like this, then something needs to change, and fast. It’s cliched, but life is too short not to enjoy your job, or at least enjoy parts of it. You might have to tolerate certain components of it, but for the most part, you should feel as though you’re working to get somewhere, accomplished, able, and appreciated.
Begin to look around for new jobs when you feel as though you’ve outgrown your job, if you’re undervalued, not paid well enough, or if you’re just plain bored of it. Know when it’s time to get out and try to secure a new job before handing in your resignation.
Bin Sugary Snacks
Sugary snacks and 3 pm slumps can become part of a vicious circle. It’s hard to wean yourself off them once you feel as though you rely on your sweet treats to pick you up to make it until the end of the day. You need to bin them as soon as you can, as they’re only contributing to your blood sugar levels waning and surging throughout the day. Instead, snack on foods that keep your blood sugars stable like nuts and seeds, avocado on rye bread, boiled eggs, and vegetable sticks.

Blog is pretty much mute

sorry haven't posted in ever. don't get paid anymore for posts. - get some emails with poeple saying they want to do sponsored posts. reply back to them yes great would like to do a sponsored post, tell them  price and go back and forth. next thing you know they never send post or money and you never hear from them again. really sick of  doing that and don't have time for that if it doesn't go anywhere.

so don't really feel like just posting personal updates not knowing if anyone really cares. sorry don't mean to be negative but pretty much giving up on this blog. had a good run but blogging is over lol.

only keeping open so I can review my own back posts and look at old pictures. basically like an archive of last 10 years give or take.

unless something major comes up, like a paid post. I probably won't be posting much on here again.

thanks! if anyone is still out there and cares. also got another new dog back in October, his name is Tucker! we love him! never been a dog person and now I have 2 :)
