Discover The Pearls of Switzerland

I was just thinking the other day how much I love to travel. I'd really like to take another trip sometime soon.

I was also thinking when I go away, I'm a real go getter. What I mean is I like to do all the activities I can in the area. I totally love to sight see. I am not one just to sit around and do nothing on vacation. I have to do everything there is possibly to do at the place I am traveling to.

One such place that looks great for a lot of activities, is Switzerland. I was doing some research of all the interesting things you can do in Switzerland. And I essentially found out how to Discover Swiss "Pearls"

This means I found out about all the great things you can do while there. One such "pearl" is going river rafting. You can travel down the Rhône on an 8 kilometer long tour. That sounds cool.


Another thing that you can do in Switzerland is spend a day at the vineyards. You can even help out at harvest time and of course partake in the wine at lunch or dinner. Doesn't that sound like fun?

On a similar note, why not try beer making? You can visit one of the local breweries, such as the Hof Hopfentropfen, and try your hand at brewing some beer. My husband would love that!



Another great thing to do in Switzerland is fishing. At the Astra Hotel you can go fishing with the actual hotel manager. Fishing on Lake Geneva looks great. My family loves to fish and would definitely love this.


Also traveling on the world's steepest cog railway would be a blast! You can do this at the 2132-m-high Mt. Pilatus! I would really love to do this because you can see beautiful cliff faces and majestic peaks and precipitous drops all around you.

Environmentally Friendly Switzerland

I just learned some interesting information about Switzerland. I would like to share with you some valuable facts that I have found out about Switzerland.

First of all, did you know that Switzerland is one of the most environmentally friendly countries in the world? It's true. For one thing Switzerland has taken a tough stance on pollution. They have introduced legislation that will help reduce pollution.

Switzerland charges fees for their water and waste management services. They have also added environmental taxes, which has promoted personal responsibility.

This has made for a very sustainable Switzerland. It has made traveling to Switzerland a Green Fantasy come true. Some things that have made Switzerland a Green Wonderland is, for one train travel is very accessible. They also are a bike friendly nation. There is also many Green friendly hotels and resorts to stay at. And they have an abundance of organic products there.

Traveling in Switzerland is so environmentally friendly. Other countries could really learn a lot from them and how to implement some of their policies.
