4 Things to Consider for Your Dog if You Work

Finally achieving a successful 9 to 5 job is the dream, unless you are a dog owner. Then you can start to be filled with major guilt about leaving your furry friend all day. Fortunately, there are ways to be able to find fulfillment in a full-time job and have a happy pup. Here are four things to consider for your dog if you work.

1. Hire a Dog Walker

Dogs are happy when they get to move and exercise. That is hard to do if you aren't home or don't work close enough to home to be able to give them that stimulation. Your dog isn't doomed to be sad and bored all day, because you can hire a dog walker. Denver dog walking will make sure your dog can get some wiggles out partway through the day.

2. Give Them Space

If you are gone for a short amount of time leaving a dog in its kennel is ok, but when gone all day you want to make sure your dog has room to move around and stretch out a bit. To make sure you aren't setting your doggo up to fail give them space with the least amount of temptation and things to damage. This usually means a room without carpet, food or garbage. A kitchen (with food locked up), bathroom or an unfinished basement are all great places.

3. A Pet Camera

It is frustrating to come home after having a productive day to see a giant mess you were not prepared for. You can set up a pet camera so you can watch your dog. Luckily, you don't have to sit and helplessly watch them rip up your couch; find a camera with two-way audio so you can talk to them. There are also cameras with the ability to give them a treat right from your phone. So you can have some interaction with them from afar.

4. Provide Quality Time

You may not be able to give your dog a lot of your time during the day, but when you are home you can give them some good quality time. Make sure you connect with your dog through play, walks and cuddling. This will help your dog know that you care.

Having a dream to be a dog owner and a successful business person is attainable if you hire a service to keep your dog exercised daily, provide a safe space, use a pet camera and are prepared to have quality time with your furry friend when you get home.
