Camera Critters: Butterflies

I  really love butterflies. I'm sure most people do.

This summer the lake at the campground had so many butterflies. Anyone know what attracts the butterflies to the beach/sand?

At some points there was at least 20-30 butterflies hanging out together on the sand.

Well here is some pics & a video I took.

My thoughts on product:

I received four jars of the PB Crave. It comes in these flavors: Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Nookie, Choco Choco & Coco Bananas. These are all delicious. I am a huge peanut butter fan, but never really tired any flavored kind until now.

They are all great and my family really likes the Razzle Dazzle flavor. I, myself really liked the Coco Bananas flavor.

One of my guilty pleasures is having some kind of peanut butter snack. Either on toast or crackers, etc.

Camera Critters An Odd Duck

Over the Summer when we went camping, we met a cool duck. He was a pretty friendly duck.

He would come around the beach a couple of times a day. And he would get pretty close to you. Usually looking for food.

I heard the lifeguards call him, "Charlie."

I have no idea what kind of duck this is. To me he is an odd duck. I kinda now somewhat about birds, but this is a new one to me. Anyone have any idea what kind of duck this is?

Anyway, here's Charlie. Of course when I finally got around to get his picture he wasn't being very cooperative:

A Perfect Time for using a picnic basket

I do not know about you, but I love having a picnic. And this is actually a perfect time of year to do that. The weather is great for a picnic. It's almost fall, but it is not to cold and not to hot out. So it will make for a great day to spend outdoors.

It's fun to pack different foods for a picnic. Planning one is almost as fun as having one. What can make for a great picnic too, is having a real picnic basket to put everything in. It will make it a very enjoyable experience for everyone.

I used to have a picnic basket, but I think I may have lost it when I moved. I would love to get a new one. It makes a regular picnic into either a fun one or a formal one. Whatever you would like. I think I will look on this website that sells them. It's an online outdoor store and you can order picnic baskets and other accessories that go with it!

Do you and your family like to go on picnics? If so, do you have a picnic basket? Maybe you should look into buying one too!

Time for Heater Maintenance

Hey everyone. How are you doing today? I want to write to you about something that I think is really important. And it is something you should really start to think about sometime soon.

Now that the Fall and Winter seasons are almost upon us, it is time to consider if you need some heater maintenance. I have been doing some research on this. And I came across a company called Aramendia Dallas. They are Plumbing, Heating & Air experts.

They can really help you with heater maintenance and also with gas furnace installation. I found some really useful information. And I want to pass some of this onto you, that I learned from their website.

First of all  regular maintenance is the key in preventing heating problems. One such way to do that is some simple measures. Like cleaning the system. Doing this can prevent clogs and malfunctions in the unit. Regular maintenance in the long run will save you money, because it can prevent any big problems.

There are a lot of different tips for you to keep your heater at top performance. And this will really help you to cut down on your energy costs. One is, you should make sure that your furnace is always operating at its fullest. This is where the company Aramendia can come in. They can inspect your heating unit for you.

This will then improve the heaters efficiency. They can also then make any necessary repairs for you. There are also a few more things you can do. And some you can do yourself in between inspections. One is to pay attention to the temperature in your house. If you notice a difference - if it is hotter or colder then the thermostat says, then you should call to have it looked at.

Another tip is to that you should clean the unit. Your furnace can collect dirt so it should be cleaned. It also probably should be cleaned by a professional though, since there are wire connections involved. So please contact someone to do this for you.

Also one simple thing you can do, that is often overlooked is to change your filter. Filters can be purchased at almost any hardware store and they are fairly inexpensive. This simple thing you can do - though can really improve your furnace's performance. And it will then help it to function properly.

There are a few more things that you can do to help you to maintain top heater performance. One is to check for leaks. Another one is to shut it off. The first one is obvious, if you smell gas then you have a leak and should call a professional right away. The second one is if you have a furnace somewhere that isn't going to be used for the winter then you should shut it off. Makes sense!

For more tips on heating and gas furnace installation please visit Aramendia Dallas. And for professional help and services check their website today!

Pictures from Trip Home

A couple of weeks ago, my kids and I traveled on an Amtrak train up to visit our family. It is a long trip on the train - over 10 hrs (one way.) But anyway here is some pictures I took while we were there.

Daughter at Amtrak station (gotta bring the One Direction pillow)

Every year we visit a park in my hometown - they have these sprinklers going in the summer:

We did some miniature golfing:

Healthy Living Tips

I like this time of  year. One of the reasons is if you have planted a vegetable garden, you can start harvesting your veggies.

I think this is a great healthy eating tip. If you can use homegrown or even fresh vegetables in your recipes. I wasn't able to plant much of a garden this year. But one year I remember planting zucchini. I had so many zucchini. It was really terrific!

My family loves zucchini bread. So we made a lot of it that year. Just thinking about it I really want to make some now. Maybe I'll pick up the ingredients at the store later. And I found a recipe for gluten free zucchini bread, that I really want to try out.

Hair Fashion Accessories

Do you ladies like to wear hair accessories? Perhaps you do, and maybe your daughters do too, like mine.

I know my daughter is really interested in hair fashion. She is always wearing different hair accessories. Like headbands, bows, etc. She is always looking for a new and or different idea about how to wear her hair.

Is there any new trends that you are all seeing with hair fashion? One that I have noticed lately that is super cool is extensions. I know some girls that are wearing different kinds of extensions.

Some hair extensions that I saw are from Fine Featherheads. It is like weaving feathers into your hair and looks really awesome. I saw some hot pink ones the other day. Another thing you might have seen is the hair chalk. You can color your hair really neat colors with the chalk/tint. And the thing that is good about those is they wash out in the shower.

So there is no commitment - if you don't like it it washes right out. My daughter really wants to try those. Do you think you or someone you know would like to try those. How about purple, blue or one called green envy in your hair? Let me know in the comments if you have any other ideas on hair fashion!

Hi all! I have a cool review for you. It is from the company called Schaefer Inc 82

They make customized mugs, glasses and wine glasses. They even have an array of unique and hand-crafted jewelry.

Each glass can be made completely custom! You can pick out every single detail and we will make it. We offer our products very affordably! They are such a unique gift or great for special events! The are top rack dishwasher safe.

My review:

I was very happy to be able to pick out a glass and have it designed the way I wanted it. I saw the pink sparkles/glitter in the picture above and wanted that on my glass. I also said I wanted a butterfly.

I guess I could have been even more specific if I wanted too, but those were the two things I said I wanted. So this is what my glass looks like:

The front and back of glass pictured above.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the design on my glass. I really love it! And is a really nice glass to drink out of. It also came very nicely packaged and shipped too.
