WW "Hip Hop Costume"

Last week I showed you my daughter's ballet costume. This week here is her Hip Hop costume.

(all pictures c @Stay at home mom)

She is striking some poses in these pictures. This is not in full hair and makeup or anything. I think her hair for the recital is supposed to be in a what they are calling - half up half down ponytail.

This is the "ripped shirt" look, with sparkly black pants.  I haven't heard the song yet, but she said it is like a mix of 4 songs together. Only about 5 more weeks until the recital!

On a side note, early Saturday  we are going on a (12 hr)  road trip. We are visiting all our relatives over Easter break. I will be around until then, but between Sat through possibly next Thursday or Friday, I most likely won't be around my blog. So hope you all have a great Easter, spring break or anything else you might be celebrating! xoxoxo

Superhero Costume Review

I've got a cool Superhero Costume review for you all. I was able to pick a costume from the website Wholesale Halloween Costumes.

And I was allowed to pick one that was considered a superhero costume.

My daughter looked over the choices and she decided she wanted the Batgirl costume. Here's a couple of pictures of her modeling it.

pictures are (c) Stay at home mom

Doesn't' she look ready for action? This may make a great new Halloween costume for 2013. We got this in the teen size for her.

Check out the line of superhero costumes they have. There are a variety of superhero costumes in all different sizes. You can get them in Women's, Men's, teens and children sizes. They would make obviously great Halloween costumes.  But if you or your kids are into  superhero comics, these make great costumes for fun theme parties for example. Or maybe for kids playtime too.

Here's some examples of what superhero costume you could get:

Batman
Superman
Green Hornet
Green Lantern
Spiderman
Avengers
Captain America
Thor
Hulk
Iron Man

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Sugar 'n Spice VoxBox from Influenster.com

Hi guys. I wanted to share some information with you. I recently joined a site called Influenster. Have you ever heard of it? Well if you don't belong already, then you should check it out. Because I just received some really cool products from them.

I got a "Sugar 'n Spice VoxBox." Here's a picture of all the contents that were in the box.

1.  Dickson's Moist towelettes.
2. Optic white toothpaste from Colgate
3. Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer
4. Nectresse (100% all natural sweetener)
5. Colgate Optic White mouthwash
6. Colgate toothbrush
7. belVita Breakfast Biscuits

I really like all these products I got. The number one thing I (my family too) like so far is the belVita Breakfast Biscuits. I have even bought a couple of boxes of them myself at Walmart so far. They come in different flavors. I have tried the oat one and the cinnamon  brown sugar. Next I want to try the blueberry ones.

Here's a video I made for YouTube too. I never make videos. If you go to my page, I think I've only made like 3 other ones. I'm still getting used to doing videos so don't judge to harshly. But here's me describing these products a little more:

I learned I probably shouldn't chew gum next time - lol. Well that's all for now. I may be talking more about some of these products in the future. You can purchase these at your local stores, and check out the product Facebook pages too. For example I got a $1.00 off the bisquits from Nabisco's Facebook page

Disclosure:  I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

The following is a guest post for you to enjoy:

People have become aware that more children nowadays have what is called a gluten intolerance. The National Institutes of Health, Univ. of Chicago Celiac Disease Center reported in 2012 that between 5% and 10% of all people suffer from a gluten sensitivity of some form. Many bakeries have also become aware of the growing need for different options of baked goods and have started providing gluten free alternatives.

As parents, chances are that we all have at least one friend of the family who's child has a gluten sensitivity. It is a good idea to have ingredients and a recipe on hand for playdates. Below is a gluten free chocolate chip cookie recipe that all kids can enjoy.

This recipe makes 3 dozen cookies.

Ingredients
3/4 cup softened butter
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract
1/4 cup egg substitute
2 1/4 cups gluten-free baking flour mix
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Grease a baking sheet (keep one on hand just for gluten baking).

In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Gradually add egg substitute and vanilla while mixing.
Sift together gluten-free flour mix, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Stir into the butter mixture until blended.
Stir in the chocolate chips.

Using a teaspoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 6-8 minutes or until light brown.
Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before moving them to wire racks.

Rich Coffman is a blogger on the front range of Colorado. After attempts at baking himself, he now buys gluten-free cookies from his local bakery.

WW "Banished Children"

My daughter is taking ballet class again this year.

I have also managed to save enough money so she could take Hip-Hop classes too. I am thankful for all the opportunities I get through my blog, because believe it or not the  paid opps, have basically been what I have paid these classes with!

Well anyway, last night she got her ballet costume for the recital. The theme this year is from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang. She is playing what is called one of the "Banished Children." Next week I'll post her Hip-Hop costume!

Here's even a little video I took of her doing some ballet moves in her bedroom.

P.S. I heard about Google reader going away. Now I just heard GFC is eventually to - for everyone. So I just joined Bloglovin. Follow me there too, adding this code so I can claim my blog:

  •  Has interdental access, so it gets in between your teeth and those hard-to-clean areas
  •  Leaves a fresh and clean feeling unlike anything you’ve ever experienced

My Review:

When I first received the OraMD product to try, I was curious about it. The first time I tried it, I just put some in my mouth directly. I was admittedly taken aback at first by how strong it is. A few drops, really packs a punch.

But then I noticed how fresh my breath/mouth was afterwards. Later I tried a few drops on my toothbrush. I then brushed my teeth with it. This method seems to work great and really cleans and freshens your mouth/teeth.

You can also put a few drops in some water and swish and gargle with. Which I am going to try next.

I have been hearing a lot lately about the ingredients in some toothpastes. And it is getting scary what chemicals some of them are using. I like that OraMD is 100% pure ingredients of  peppermint, spearmint and almond oil!

This is my daughter's stuffed animal collection. Well she told me she doesn't want them (or most of them) in her room anymore. So we used the boxes to put the stuffed animals in and store most of them for now in the attic.

Here is a series of pictures I took.

stuffed animal pile getting lower:

bear in box:

boxes of stuffed animals:

not many left:

There was even more boxes used. I think she used at least 5 or 6 boxes to fill up with stuffed animals.

Now this is what it looks like in that corner of her room:

Enjoy the First Ray of Sunshine in Spring 2013

With the sun shining and the weather really starting to heat up, it's time to grab some new sunglasses. You can go for a conservative retro-chic look or something totally wild and colorful. Summer is coming so you will get a little more freedom than usual. Embrace it. Yes, Sunglasses have been a wide application around all groups of people. The main reason is that sunglasses play an important role in UV radiation protection. Indeed, millions of people around the world benefit a lot from the sunglasses.

In comparison, wraparound sunglasses are better choice for sunglasses because of their wraparound design. First, they will offer better eye protection by preventing UV rays from more than one angle, the front and the sides. Second, they can shield wind or other fine articles from reaching your eyes and cling firmly to your face. Third, they can make your face look smaller. Fourth, they will protect the skin around your eyes by covering larger parts of your face with their distinct shapes. All and all, these features undoubtedly make wrap round sunglasses an ideal choice for you to enjoy
comfort and fashion at the same time.

But for the people who have vision problems, a pair of sunglasses is not enough. In this case, prescription sunglasses can provide an excellent service. Nowadays, prescription sunglasses have attracted more and more people and played an important role in our life. They are specially designed for people with myopia, hyperopia or presbyopia. Stylish prescription sunglasses not only provide you with a clearer vision but more importantly they put you in a position of fashion and vogue. If you have to wear prescription glasses and want to wear sunglasses, stylish prescription sunglasses are the very item you can lay your hands on.

Where will you get sunglasses? Purchasing online may be a better choice. You can buy the high-quality sunglasses at wholesale prices. The latest styles and designs will make you outstanding among the public. Firmoo should be one of your better choices.

Firmoo.com is the world's most popular online eyeglasses store. Years of expertise in optical industry enable Firmoo.com to offer varieties of prescription eyewear to the consuming public in high quality yet at extremely affordable prices. The low prices in Firmoo.com never compromise the quality of eyewear while treating the quality and services to consumers as top priority.

Enjoy fashion & comfort at the same time. Now is the brightest time to buy sunglasses!

I have some Firmoo sunglasses. And I can not leave the house with out them. Just ask my family, I am a crazy person if I can not find them, and have to go out. I wear them all the time and need them in the sun, especially driving. Here is a picture of me wearing my sunglasses. Which is actually a pretty good picture (for a change) of me.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Review

I received the following products to review from  the company nuNAAT it is the NAAT Brazillian Keratin product collection:

Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask, and Serum.

Honestly now thinking about it. I think I was supposed to get the Leave-In conditioner too, but instead I got 2 of the shampoos. So I can't really comment on how the Leave-in works.

1st here is some product info though:

Everyday Moisture that Reduces Volume & Frizz

NAAT Brazilian Keratin collection restores and intensifies your hair's nutritional balance, leaving it incredibly smooth, strong and flexible. Unlike typical animal-based keratins, our exclusive Green Keratin formula stays in your hair longer and is more resistant to rinsing. Promotes vibrancy and hydration, giving hair a natural, healthy shine. Products include: Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask, Leave-In, and Serum.

My review:

My hair is what, I guess you would call, wavy. Which I admit can sometimes verge on the edge of frizzy. I have been using the NAAT Brazillian Keratin, products for about 3 weeks now. And I am really liking the results so far.

I don't shampoo my hair everyday. I either shampoo, and then condition, or then on the days when I don't shampoo, I will just use conditioner. These products have really been making a difference in my hair. My hair is now a lot softer, and less frizzy.

I also really like the hair mask. I have used that 3 times. So like once a week, I think is good. I have been putting it in my hair before I take a shower. Then putting towel on my hair for about 15 min. Then I rinse out in shower. It is a really thick cream, and smells awesome too. And it really deep conditions my hair! I even used it on my daughter before her big dance recently. To achieve this look on her hair, which is very similar to mine:

I don't really use a flat iron on my hair, I don't even own one. (have been thinking about getting one though), But I do blow dry my hair a lot. So I have been using the Serum once in awhile before I blow dry my hair. It really leaves my hair smooth, and less frizzy.

Here is some pictures (albeit up-close ones) of my hair.

These are pictures of my hair before - kinda wavy and frizzy:

Anti-aging eye cream review ~ Perfective Ceuticals

Do you remember awhile ago I did a review for a product from Perfective Ceuticals?   It was for the Divine Age Guardian Cream. Well now I was given the opportunity to review another of their products.

This on their anti-aging eye cream. Here is a picture of it.

Some product information:

Perfective Ceuticals' Anti-imperfection Eye Therapy Cream with Growth Factor is a highly concentrated anti-wrinkle eye cream formulated with collagen and elastin stimulators to battle against the four signs of aging eyes: fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.

Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) helps diminish the length and depth of fine lines, under eye wrinkles and crow's feet wrinkles. Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4) helps reduce eye puffiness by strengthening the elasticity of the eye skin area. Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide) helps under eye wrinkles and crow's feet wrinkles to become more resilient to the aging process.

Combined with Retinol and Ginseng Extract to de-saturate dark circles, Anti-imperfection Eye Therapy Cream with Growth Factor is the path to youthful, luminous, and radiant eyes. Non-comedogenic. Fragrance-free. Scientifically proven.

And now a close up of my eye.

Number one love how it is fragrance free. This cream goes on very smoothly. And I could use help with crows feet, fine lines and eye puffiness. So I have been using this for a few weeks and I really like the results! I can't wait to keep using this and see more reduction of my eye wrinkles!

You just need a pea sized dab of this for each eye, up to twice a day. and you will see results in no time! Goes on really non-greasy too. I recommend this cream for anyone looking for this kind of products!

If you would like to try this product for yourself visit the Perfective Ceutical's website to purchase.

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good
