Aqua-Leisure Review

I recently received some products from   Aqua-Leisure to review.

I thought it would be fun for my daughter to try out the First Fitness Lil' Rookie Exercise Set (18-Inch Exercise Ball, Digi Jump Rope, Stopwatch). We got the Exercise ball, Digi Jump Rope, but instead of a stopwatch - we actually got two weights. The weights were .05 lbs each. Which is good for kids to start out with.

(image from Amazon.com)

My daughter already loves to play outside, but this exercise set was an added incentive to get out and play. She has been having fun doing some different exercises on the 18 inch Ball. Here she is trying it out for the first time.

She can get some strength training in with these weights. My husband said these are the perfect size for her.

And here she is trying out the the Digi-Jump Rope. The thing that is really cool about it too is that it has a counter on it so you can keep track of how many jumps you do.

(c) stay at home mom
Another added  benefit of this Aqua-Leisure set we received is that it got my husband and I out exercising. The jump rope is long enough so two people can hold it while the third one jumps. So we did that for awhile, and we played with the big ball playing catch with it for quite awhile. If it's nice this weekend, I want to get out with her some more to play with this stuff!

Buy It:  The First Fitness Lil' Rookie Exercise Set (18-Inch Exercise Ball, Digi Jump Rope, Stopwatch) is available at Amazon.com. Also Check the Aqua-Leisure website for available stores near you.

Connect with Aqua-Leisure: Visit the Aqua-Leisure Facebook Fan Page - for lots of info & contests around the web.

JUMBiES Review & Giveaway

I received a product called JUMBiES to review & offer in a giveaway.

Product Description
JUMBiES are Jumbled Babies! They are a result of the storks crashing into each other and jumbling up all the baby animals!  So a Duck and a Monkey becomes a Duckey!...and a Dingo and a Bat becomes a Dingbat!  Each JUMBiE comes with its own mini comic book and POG.  JUMBiES also have their own D.O.J (Date of Jumble) and motto.  These cute whimsical animals really ignite the imagination of children and adults alike!

My Take on the Product:
When I was first asked to review JUMBiES I was very excited. Because I don't know about you guys, but my kids love stuffed animals! I knew they would really want some of these. And I thought it was really a great concept behind them. How the stork mixed up the different animals.

My kids love webkinz and beanie babies so I knew they would love these. When they arrived yesterday, there was a slight argument over who got which one. We had received the Duckey and the Zelephant.

They ended up deciding they are going to share both of them. So they can each play with both. Good solution! These are really cute stuffed animals and my daughter is already having a lot of fun with them.

Magnablade Review & Giveaway

I recently received a product called Magnablade to review & offer in a giveaway.

Product Description
MAGNAblade uses patented technology to extend the life of razor blades by a factor of up to 6 times! If you currently replace your blade every 2 weeks, you will be able to use the same blade for up to 12 weeks!

MAGNAblade is a revolutionary new product that extends the performance of most razor blades currently on the market. It accomplishes this with the built-in magnetic force field that prevents the separations of the molecules on the edge of the blade keeping it sharper longer.

My take on the product:
Magnablade suggests you start off with a new razor. So I had my husband test it out for me. He has been using it for a couple of weeks now. And says the razor still is giving a smooth shave.

I honestly can not 100% say if this product works or not. #1 because I realized my husband is not a great product tester. Trying to get info out of him is hard. And #2 I don't think we have been using it long enough to tell. But if you can get a longer life out of your razor I guess it's worth a try!

Win it: If you would like to win your own Magnablade to test it out for yourself - then I have one to give to a lucky reader.

Mandatory Entry: Visit Magnablade and tell me something interesting you found.

Extra Entries (pls. leave separate comment for each):

Fall Fashions Are Here!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Liz Claiborne New York Outlets. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was just looking around online and found a Liz Claiborne New York Outlets in my state.I've heard of the town, but I'm not sure exactly where it is. But I really want to find out. Because the fall fashions are out now.

What is your favorite thing about fall fashion? Well mine, I think is the fall jackets. I really would love to get a new jacket for this time of year. It is relly getting colder out around here. And I don't even have a nice jacket. I would love to get one.

I was looking at the Liz Claiborne New York Outlets and I think I could really find what I'm looking for there. If I had a second choice of something I really need and want, then that would be some new boots. I actually don't have a pair for the season, and really need to get some soon. I always have gotten black boots, but I would love to try something different. Maybe there is some new colors out in the fall fashion line. What do you think? Would you like a pair of say - red boots? That would be really cool!

Well, I think I'm going to have to find that Liz Claiborne store this weekend. I feel the urge to splurge! Do you? Check out their website, and find a store near you!

Visit my sponsor: Calling all Fashionistas!

Daughter's Class

I love this picture of my daughter! Excuse me if quality is not 100%. I got this off my daughter's class blog. Her teacher took this the 1st day of school.

I think it's really cool - her teacher has a blog. Where he posts pictures, videos & stuff they are doing in class on there.

My daughter's school also got a grant this year. Esp. for the upper class - which she is in (5th grd). They have some cool technology - a video screen in there class - where the teacher can put things on it - kinda like a virtual chalkboard, these clicker things - where they can play kind of like jeopardy, they even get use of flip cameras and laptops. And more!

Book Review: "The Day Leo Said, "I Hate You!"

I recently received a book called, "The Day Leo Said, "I Hate You!" by Robie H. Harris to review.

The Day Leo Said I Hate You!

Some info on the book:

The moment those dreaded words? "I hate you!"? pop out of a young child's mouth, almost every child wishes they had never been said.  In The Day Leo Said, "I Hate You!" (Little, Brown),  renowned author Robie H. Harris shows how strong but perfectly normal feelings like anger and frustration can lead to such outbursts, and how one child and his mother successfully deal with those feelings and ultimately reaffirm their love for each other.  In a few short pages and in a caring and reassuring manner, Harris and three-time Caldecott Honor illustrator Molly Bang convey some big emotional truths about the inner lives of young children.

Leo hates it when Mommy says "No," and today it feels like she just won't stop saying it.  "No string beans in the fish bowl!"  "No toothpaste down the toilet!"  "No drawing on the wall!"  Leo is angry and frustrated.  But when the words "I hate you!" pop out of his mouth, he instantly wishes he could stuff them back in.  Then his biggest fear sets in: Will Mommy hate him for saying those three words?

My take on the book:

When I was asked to review this book, I was really interested in looking at it. Mostly because it brought back memories of that happening to me when I was little. I rememeber my friend's mother always scolding me because I would say the word "hate" a lot.

When I received the book, I was really impressed. The story is great for little ones - they can really learn an important lesson from this book. I also loved the big bold drawings in the book - illustrated by Molly Bang.

Check out this book to teach kids how the words "I hate you" can be hurtful, but if you make a mistake, and say sorry, you can make up for those three little words.

Buy it: The Day Leo Said I Hate You! is available at Amazon.com in hardcover. Paperback coming in November!

About the Author:  Robie H. Harris is known for portraying the emotional lives of young children with wisdom, honesty, and humor.  A master at expressing complex human emotions in simple scenarios with simple language and a compelling story, Harris helps young children and their parents understand and deal with those strong, but perfectly normal feelings like anger, frustration, and jealousy

connect with Author: Visit Robie H. Harris's website for more information.

Disclaimer: I received a complementary copy of  "The Day Leo Said, "I Hate You!" by Robie H. Harris for the sole purpose of reviewing the book. Receiving a complementary copy of the book in no way affected my review. I received no monetary compensation.

alternaVites Review & Giveaway {3 Winners!}

I recently received a product called alternaVites to review and offer in a giveaway.

Product Information:
alternaVites was developed because no one needs another pill, tablet or capsule when it comes to vitamins.  The world doesn’t need another vitamin, it needs a breakthrough vitamins.  As there are over 100 million Americans that have difficulty swallowing pills (of which I am one), alternaVites lets you keep the vitamins while losing the pill.   Unlike anything else currently on the market, alternaVites multivitamin & mineral crystals contain 23 essential nutrients that are simply sprinkled on your tongue as they then dissolve in seconds. Whats more? alternaVites tastes delicious (mixed berry flavor), has no aftertaste, requires no water or preparation, and are packaged in daily dose packets for convenience and portability.
Using a proprietary blend of ingredients, the alternaVitesรค formula meets or exceeds that of leading national brands on the market.

And alternaVites is just as remarkable for what it doesn’t contain as for what it does: no sugar, no animal products or by products, no artificial colors, artificial flavors or preservatives, no chemicals used to glue pills together.
With alternaVites there are no more excuses not to take your vitamins.

My take on the product:
I have never been a big pill taker. Ever since I was younger, I've always had a hard time swallowing pills. So when I was asked to try this product, I really thought it was a great idea.

I opened one up (reminds me of the powder drink mixes) and put some on my tongue. I found it tasted pretty good. As suggested, I felt just putting a little in my mouth at a time was a good idea. Too much, and it was hard to consume. But it tasted fruity, and I felt good knowing, I was getting my daily allotment of vitamins!

I feel this product would be great for anyone who has a hard time swallowing pills, or elderly, or disabled people who may have a hard time too. Like they say, "Now there is no excuse for not taking your vitamins!"

Buy it: Visit alternaVites and use  the code "BLG10" at checkout to receive 10% off.

Win it: Three lucky winners will win a month supply each of alternaVites.

Mandatory Entry:  Visit alternaVites and tell me something interesting you found.

My Question: Do you have a favorite sports team? Baseball, Football, etc?

My Answer: As many of you may (or may not) know, my favorite team is the Red Sox. Unfortunately they did not even make the playoffs, due to so many injuries this year. Bummer - Oh well - we'll get 'em next year.
