  • Olay Regenerist offers products that incorporate other anti-aging ingredients such as vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, green tea extract, allantoin, and glycerin.
  • These advanced appearance correcting and anti aging skin care products will help strengthen your skin’s moisture barrier and regenerate skin surface:
    • Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser – Speeds natural surface regeneration with oxygenated derma-beads that gently remove dead cells and a creamy formula that regenerates the skin’s surface to detoxify
    • NEW Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Cream & Lash Serum Duo – The first eye cream and lash serum product from Olay, which instantly thickens the appearance of lashes, and helps achieve firmer, smoother-looking lids, helps soften the appearance of lines, and can help eyes appear brighter, firmer, and  younger-looking in just one week

I have been trying out the, NEW Micro-Sculpting Eye Cream & Lash Serum Duo, and NEW Micro-Sculpting Cream. And I really like them.

The Micro-Sculpting cream, goes on really smooth and has a very pleasant fragrance too. It recommends on the back of the jar, to concentrate around your brow area and your jaw line, so that is what I've been doing. I think it is really helping!

And the eye cream and Lash serum duo, are very nice also. If you dab some of the cream around your eyes and, it can make for a smoother looking lid. And the lash serum thickens the appearance of your lashes. Which I have been using this product for almost 2 weeks and I can already notice a difference.

Mommy and Me Meetup at Busch Gardens

Disclosure: I attended an event on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Busch Gardens. I received free admission to the park as a thank you for participating

I shared a picture last week in this post from my trip to Busch Gardens. Now I want to tell you more about it.

I was invited to attend a Mommy and Me meet up with Mom Central. It was supposed to happen previously, but had to be postponed due to tropical storm Andrea. I'm not sure the total, but there were about 20 other families (other mommy bloggers) who attended also.

Here's a shot I got of my kids before we went into the park:

(c) stay at home mom

They were pretty excited, since it was our first time going to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. We have lived in Virginia for almost 2 yrs, but hadn't been before.

When we entered the park our group got to meet a mommy and baby sheep. Here's my son petting the baby.

(c) stay at home mom

Then we were all treated to a delicious buffet breakfast. There was everything from danishes, to eggs, sausages, etc. (I should have taken a picture of it) but being a newbie at these events I didn't think of it.

Then we heard a talk by some different people. I'm not sure her exact title, but one of the directors of Busch Gardens spoke and the Founder and CEO of Mom Central, Stacy Debroff spoke. They talked about how, Busch Gardens had hired Mom Central to do a survey. The surveyed about 900 moms, and the results were that mom's think their kids are disconnected from outdoor play, and natural fun. Kids today are spending too much time indoors. And playing video games, etc.

Busch Gardens with the help of Mom Central want to promote natural fun. Stacy DeBroff, even went around the room and had the kids name different ways to have fun outdoors. The kids came up with some great ideas. Such as hiking, camping, having a picnic, and more. (there was more to these speeches - but this is just a general synopsis of it)

Then someone who works with the animals came onstage. There was a turtle, a couple of cool birds. Then she asked for volunteers. My son got picked to go up stage.

They got to meet "Bob" the snake. My son didn't know what he was going to be holding up there, but he said after he liked doing that. Then around noon time,. we were "let loose" to go and enjoy Busch Gardens however we wanted.

We ran around the park literally for 7 hrs after that. I don't have time to list every single ride or thing we did. But we were non stop go for that whole time. Of course I was relying on my digital camera, and after that last picture of my son & the snake, it died. So luckily the kids had either an ipod (my son) or a cell phone (daughter) to take a few pictures.

This roller coaster is described as lightning fast and features an 88 foot plunge. Let's just say, that was the first & last roller coaster my son went on.

My daughter posing outside of Verbolten. She didn't even entertain the thought of going on it:

Unlike my husband who went on all but one roller coaster at Busch Gardens (just because he didn't see it) and some more then once!

My Daughter loved this ride called Der Wirbelwind:

I think my daughter went on this at least 5 or 6 times.

This is just the highlights of what we did. We went on many more rides, saw lots of animals. And saw a show called Pet Shenanigans. It was really cute and featured all kinds of pets that they have rescued from shelters.

I hope to go back to Busch Garden's soon. Because although we did a lot, there is still a lot we didn't see. There are more shows and tours you can take. Like a behind the scene animal tour would be cool. And the rides, which we missed or we would go on the same ones again :)

My kids (especially my son) do fall into the category of not getting enough outdoor and natural play. Probably to much time on the computer. So it was nice to spend a family day together at Busch Gardens!

musicMagpie.com Review

Hi, everyone. I want to let you know about a website I just learned about. This sounds so cool. And I think is going to be perfect for me.

I don't know about you but I have tons of CD's, DVD's and even a few video games that I do not ever use anymore. Just the other day, I was looking in a cabinet, where we keep all of these, and I was thinking I never use these, but I don't want to just throw them away.

And living in a small rental home now, space is somewhat limited, so It would be great to get rid of some of these. And now I  found a great solution for this. I can sell my DVD's online.

There is a website called musicMagpie.com. And on there you can sell your DVD's, CD's and even video games. I haven't done it yet. But I am really going to look into this. And so far while looking at the website, it seems like a very simple process.

It seems really easy to use. All you have to do is enter the bar codes of the products you want to sell onto the Valuation Engine. It will then give you a price of how much each one is worth. If you have a lot of them, like I do this could really add up to some money for you.

Once you enter your bar codes, then you can ship the different disks to them. You can send them for free using their free shipping service. Then you get cash for your Cd's, Dvd's and games. Couldn't be easier! Please check the website for more information. And for the full terms and conditions.

Doesn't this sounds like a great idea? I am really excited to get started on this. I can already picture what I can do with the extra space I will gain by clearing some of these out. And the extra cash doesn't sound bad either!

Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor Review

I received a really valuable (as far as life saving) product. This is a very useful product that I have always wanted. It is a Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor.

My husband has been told on a few doctor's visits that his blood pressure was a little high. So we have been curious as to what his blood pressure is. And we have been wanting to monitor it ourselves.

Here is a brief summery of the product:

CardioTech products by Ozeri offer clinically proven technology and are used by physicians and hospitals around the world. Compact, portable and simple to use, the CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Blood Pressure Monitor is an advanced 2-user arm-cuff monitor powered by a state-of-the-art CPU that utilizes a double pulse detection algorithm to enhance pulse wave detection, thereby improving accuracy.

There are a lot of different features to this monitor. I am still investigating everything about it. But so far I really like it. It is super easy to use, and anyone could figure this out. One thing I like is it will keep 2 people's blood pressure results in the memory. So you can have a log of your blood pressure, and someone else's too.

My blood pressure is low, but I don't have any problems with it. I looked up online -  low blood pressure and as long as you don't have any symptoms - that is fine.

My husband's is a little high. With this monitor at least we can keep an eye on it. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality blood pressure monitor, but that is very simple to use.

If you would like more information on this product please visit the product page on Amazon. You can also purchase it on Amazon. Right now it is on sale for $59.95!

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Tips for Single Moms: How to Manage Joint Custody

Image via freedigitalphotos.net

If you’re newly divorced, life may seem a bit overwhelming, figuring out how to separate two lives that were once joined. If you have children, there’s a tremendous amount of decisions to be made. Gaining custody of your child can be a scary thing, especially if you don’t feel that your child would be in capable hands living with your former spouse. The majority of divorces result in joint custody, which means that you and your spouse both have visiting rights to see the children. The outcomes of these cases may vary, depending on many factors in your or your spouse’s ability to nurture, positively influence, and care for your kids. If you've been awarded joint custody, the situation can also be difficult, because you will still have to interact with and make decisions with your former spouse, when you may just feel the urge to cut all ties. Here are a few tips to help manage joint custody with an ex-spouse.

Leave the Kids Out of It
It may be your first inclination to fill the kids in on every sordid detail of your separation and divorce from your spouse. You love them, and you want them to feel the same way about your estranged spouse as you do. However, keep in mind that children may not have the context or ability to understand the depth or complexities of the issues you share with your ex. As parents, it’s our job to shelter them from those things. If there are genuine concerns about the welfare of your kids when they’re with your spouse, talk to other adults about it, and get the help you need from them. If they’re not in any real danger, let them love both their parents equally -- and without feeling like they’re betraying one by loving the other.

Have Clear Expectations
Create a simple agreement that outlines the things your kids will need to maintain a semblance of consistency in their lives, and agree to uphold it with your exspouse for the good of your children. These may include things like acceptable forms of punishment, proper foods to feed the kids, and daily expectations, such as finishing homework on time or doing chores. Your children will more easily transition from one home to another if there are consistent expectations between the two places.

Schedule Regular Check-Ins
Though it may be difficult to imagine having a civil conversation with your exspouse in many cases, it’s best if you move past your emotional responses and cultivate some type of relationship if that’s possible. If you need to, seek out counseling or a mediator to help you get to a place where you can speak logically and clearly with one another. You’ll need to be communicating about your children and how they’re doing. They’re the ones who will suffer if you’re not. Set up a weekly or bi-weekly time to talk with your ex-spouse. If you have to, set up a list of questions to ask each week and check in about your kids. Also, create an open space for your kids to check in with each of you. Listen more than speak. Let them know you support and love them through this time.

WW Happy Anniversary - celebrate with Chocolate Angel Food cake

Monday was my 19th Wedding Anniversary. We didn't do much really. I bought him a 10 pack of socks (which he was pretty happy about) - lol. And he got me (I really bought it) a new Angel Food cake pan. My last one was litteraly like 30 yrs old, since it was originally my Mom's.

So to celebrate I made a cake that has been a family recipe since I was a little girl.

Chocolate Angel Food cake:

Recipe:

Ingredients:

angel food cake mix
1/4 cup unsweetened coco

Frosting:

1 PT whipping cream
1/2 cup sweet coco
1 cup confectionery sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

Follow mix except use 1 1/2 Cup water, plus 1/4 unsweetened coco. Then cook as directed.

Since this is whipped cream frosting, leftovers should be refrigerated.

Well that was our anniversary. Maybe next year will do something big. Since it will be our 20th!

WW - Miniature Golf Fun

On Memorial Day, we went Miniature golfing. We haven't done that in a long time. It was one of the funnest times we have had doing that.

Number 1 reason is I love a good bargain. we found out when we got there that - Monday's at this place everything is half price. So we could play 5 people for only $20.00. The second reason being, it was the first time I can remember going when my daughter didn't freak out about it one way or another. If you can picture what I mean - lol

Maybe because her friend came too:

Another cool thing was, at the ones with water, there was actually nets so you could retrieve your ball. I never saw that before. We had to scoop a few balls out.

We had a fun time, and will go back again. And maybe do go-carts. Especially on a Monday, when it is 1/2 price - lol

(for privacy reasons I have blurred my daughter's friend a little)
