Progresso Soup Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

I was excited the other day to receive a sample of Progresso Chicken Tuscany soup. I love soup and love to try new kinds. Especially this time of year when the weather is getting cooler. There is nothing like sitting down to a nice hot bowl of soup.

I ate the Progresso Chicken Tuscany soup the other day for lunch. And it was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed it because I was able to enjoy it in this nice Progresso soup mug along with a fancy stainless steel Progresso spoon. (pictured above)

Another great thing about this soup is that it has fiber in it. There are 4 new, great tasting Progresso soups that have 28% of the recommended Daily Value of fiber per serving (7 grams) and have no added MSG or artificial flavors. The new varieties include Chicken Tuscany, Creamy Tomato Basil, Hearty Vegetable and Noodles and Homestyle Minestrone.

WIN IT: One lucky reader will win a Progresso Prize Pack (as pictured above)

MANDATORY ENTRY: Tell me how you try to incorporate more fiber into your diet.

Aloha Friday #8

Glitter Graphics

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question: Have you or your kids been to a Haunted House? Do you or your kids like Haunted Houses?

My answer: I used to like Haunted Houses when I was younger. My kids not so much. About 5 years ago, my sister talked me into taking them to one. My daughter didn't even make it past the entrance, and my son only made it about half way through it. That was our last attempt at a Haunted House.

Head on over to Aloha Friday to join too:

Watch LiveTV4me

I just received a letter the other day that said the cost of my cable TV is going up again. Sometimes I get really frustrated with how much cable TV costs.

Well, I just found out about a website called livetv4me.com. On this website you can watch over 1,000 TV Channels right on your computer. For a one time fee of $39.95, you can watch TV programming from all over the world. This is a great price! That price is less then what I pay for one month of cable TV.

With LiveTV4me you can eliminate your monthly cable bills. All it takes is an easy download, which only takes about 3 minutes. And then you can watch live sports, movies, news, music videos and thousands of other programs from the US and around the world.

Their software technology will plug you directly into hundreds of live digital television channels all over the world. All you need is an Internet connection, and you can enjoy over 1000 live television channels from all over the world.

And don't worry access is 100% legal, no matter how many channels you want to watch or for how long. Also there are no hidden fees, you will pay a one time fee of $39.95.

If this sounds good to you and you want more information, check out LiveTV4me's website for yourself!

Ruby Tuesday #9

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday, I just had to get out and enjoy it. My daughter wanted to go to the park. So I took her to one of our favorite places, because they have a park, and also you can take a walk in the woods on some trials.

Here she is (along with Kit, her American Girl Doll) on the Ruby dome park equipment:

Camera Critters #18

My daughter took this shot at the fair she went to a couple of weeks ago on a field trip. She was very excited to watch the horse show. She loves horses and has always wanted to go horseback riding.

Well today she actually gets to try it. Her Girl Scout troop is going horseback riding today! I hope she likes it. Of course she won't look as professional as this girl was on the horse.

Charter On Demand

Ondemand
My kids love to watch the usual shows kids like. Like Sponge Bob, Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny With A Chance, to name a few. Sometimes the shows they like aren't always on though. That's why it would be so nice to have Charter On Demand.

If you have Charter digital, then you have On Demand. You may not even realize that, or that it is free to access. You have right at your fingertips over 6,000 movies and shows to watch anytime you want. That is the great thing about On Demand. If you want to watch say Wizards of Waverly Place, you can just search for that and watch all the episodes you want of it. My kids would love to have this!

Sometimes going anywhere to rent a movie can be a pain. Usually when ever I try to rent one, most of the time they are out of the particular one I want. It can be so frustrating. Also waiting for one in the mail takes to long. If you want to watch a movie with Charter On Demand it is much easier. Access is just a click away.

They also have hundreds of shows on HD now too!

You can learn more at charter.net/ondemand. You can also get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. Check it out for your On Demand needs.

Friday Photo Flashback #6

I was thinking the other day what my kids have been over the years for Halloween. Then I came across pictures from Halloween 2004.

My daughter was a Witch and my son was Harry Potter. This was one of the best costumes my son had. When we went trick-or-treating he got more complements on his costume then ever. Everyone was saying how much he looked like Harry Potter.

Crayola Crayon Tower - "Lights, Camera, Color" Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

I received a Crayola 150-count Crayon Tower the other day. I along with my kids were so excited to receive this.

The Crayon Tower is so cool and 150 colors all at your finger tips is awesome. The Crayola Crayon Tower can fold down to compact or you can pull it up to make a 3 tier tower. It also comes with a crayon sharpener.

Another really neat thing about the Crayola Crayon Tower is that it comes with a "Lights, Camera, Color" code. The 150-count Crayon Tower comes with a code that is good for 6 months of free unlimited prints on Crayola.com "Lights, Camera, Color."

This is a really cool application on Crayola.com. What it is, is after you enter your code, you can upload any photo you have, and it will turn your photo into a coloring page. And then you can print it out to color. My daughter was really excited about trying this out. She loves dolls and has some pictures of them, so we tried it out with some of those. Here's an example of that:

Here's our picture:

And here's what it looks like as a coloring page:

My daughter has really been enjoying this. We have printed at least 10 pictures, and she has had fun coloring them in with all her new crayons!

WIN IT: One lucky reader will win a Crayola 150-count Crayon Tower, which will come with a code for 6 months of free unlimited prints on Crayola.com "Lights, Camera, Color."

MANDATORY ENTRY: Tell me about a photo you would like to make into a coloring page.

Sun-Bird Asian Seasonings

I love Asian food. But I have to admit I have no idea how to prepare it at home. It always seemed so complicated. And I've never been sure on how to get the same flavor if I make it myself.

Well now I just heard about a product called Sun-Bird. They make Asian seasoning mixes. So you can easily prepare Asian meals at home. And they are at affordable prices too, so making this meal on today's tight budget is very accessible. Also family's schedules are also busy so making a meal quick and easy is also important. With Sun-Bird you can make that Asian meal you've been craving easily.

Sun-Bird is America's #1 Asian Seasoning Brand. These seasonings will give your food a true authentic Asian flavor. There's a variety of seasonings and products for stir fry, fried rice, chow mein and many more. Wow these sound great! Next time I'm in the Asian section at my local grocer, I'm going to look for Sun-Bird Seasonings. They sound like a great way to spice up dinner. Some of the products they have also include: Sauce Mixes, Soup Mixes and Classic 3-step Meal Kit.

Sun-Bird is also having a cool giveaway. They are giving away 15 Blu-Ray Disc Players. You can find the entry forms at the grocery store where Sun-Bird products are sold. The contest is running until October 31, 2009.

Mellow Yellow Monday #19

My daughter went to a fair called the "Deerfield Fair" a couple of weeks ago. She went with her 4th grade class on a field trip. I let her take an old camera so she could take some pictures on her own. She took some pretty good pictures.

This is one of a prize winning sunflower. Look how huge this sunflower is! I'm not sure how big it is or anything, but that is awesome! It looks like a winner to me.

Old El Paso - El Tacodor Review & Giveaway CLOSED

My family loves tacos and they love to play games so when MyBlogSpark, asked me to review Old El Paso El Tacodor game, I thought that was perfect.

I received two coupons for Old El Paso taco kits, a $10 gift certificate to purchase the rest of the fixings for the tacos (meat, lettuce, etc.) and the El Tacodor game.

I went to the store and made my purchases, and then Saturday I made our tacos. Then we played the El Tacodor game. My kids were pretty excited about it. They love tacos and they also thought it was really fun to be able to play a game while eating dinner.

The El Tacodor game comes with player score cards and an instruction sheet with questions to answer. Each player takes turns answering questions from different categories. The categories include: Crunch Time, Meat-N-Greet, Lettuce Play, In The Lime Light, Say Cheese. An example of a question is: Pick a partner. Together name 5 foods that start with the letter "W." Which we actually got kind of stuck on.

Who ever answers one question from each category first wins. My kids had a great time playing this. By the end of the game my daughter was in the lead, and only needed one more question to win. It was my son's turn, and he challenged my daughter to this question: Pick a challenger. They say a 2 letter word, you say a 3 letter word, and so on. When the person gets stuck you score. It was fun to see how competitive my kids were. And I was surprised how far they went on this question. My daughter got up to a 12 letter word, and then my son couldn't come up with a 13 letter one. So my daughter won.

Here's some pictures of them playing the game:

daughter playing El Tacodor

Son - playing El Tacodor Game

Who ever wins the game gets the title of "El Tacodor." My daughter was very excited when she won and even made a moustach and was pretending she was "El Tacodor."

El Tacodor

This game was really fun for everyone, and we will definitely play it again.

If you play this game you can post your photos and videos on the El Tacodor Flickr page or YouTube page for a chance to be featured on a special section of the El Tacodor website. Your photos and videos may also be favorited on the Betty Crocker Facebook page.you can also enter the Old El Paso El Tacodor Sweepstakes for a chance to win $5,000 just for having fun with your family. Other prizes include monthly giveaways of $300 cash cards, and weekly giveaways of gift certificates for Old El Paso products for the next five months. When you visit El Tacodor you will also find a link to coupons, a calendar to schedule your next taco night, topping choice chart and more!

Giveaway Prize Details: (2) two coupons to purchase Old El Paso dinner kits and a $10 gift card to purchase any additional meal needs (i.e. meat, cheese, lettuce, etc). And the El Tacodor Game.

Quotable Sunday: Weekends

I thought I'd join Quotable Sunday this week. This is hosted by Toni at A Daily Dose of Toni.

Every Friday, everyone at my house can't wait for the weekend, usually we have fun. But sometimes it gets kind of boring, especially when it's raining, like it is today. Sometimes I personally can't wait until Mondays. Here's some quotes I found about weekends.

"There is little chance that meteorologists can solve the mysteries of weather until they gain an understanding of the mutual attraction of rain and weekends." ~Arnot Sheppard

"Why wait for the weekend to have fun?" ~Loesje

"Oldtimers, weekends, and airplane landings are alike. If you can walk away from them, they're successful. " ~ Casey Stengel

Camera Critters - Country Cows

I've mentioned before how we used to live in the country. And that it was in a home that was in my family for almost 100 yrs. Well it is actually only about a 25 minute drive from where I live now. Sometimes when we happen to be in that area we will drive by our old house. Except it isn't anything like what it used to be. Instead of an old country home and 7 acres of land, it now has 3 huge houses on it.

One thing that has remained the same is across the street, the people who live there still have a huge field and still have their cows. We drove by the other day, and the cows were out. We stopped to look at them and I took some pictures. People driving by were giving us weird looks. I said we look like total city folk who have never seen cows before.

Aloha Friday #7

An Island Life hosts this meme. Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question: How many TVs do you have?

My answer: We have 4 TVs. Recently someone where my husband works gave us a bigger TV, so we put the other one in our bedroom. I never really wanted a TV in our room. But it actually has been nice. Especially when my husband was recuperating from his surgery.
